Favorite Chems record art goes to the 'Elektrobank' single because I dig the giant yellow lips looking thing with eyes and the little striped person on top.

I agree that Pink Floyd has some cool sleeve art, Animals being my fave PF cover. Some others that caught my eye: KMFDM had some really cool illustrations on the sleeves of their records too. Air has some great cover art - the cardboard sleeve to 'Premiere Symptomes' is really simple but slick and stylized and the cover of the 'Virgin Suicides' is just gorgeous.

One of my favorite record sleeves of all though is not a Chems record (sorry.) It's the the limited edition Spiritualized 'Let It Come Down.' The sleeve looks like a thick white box (which it is) but it has a deep, inverse image of a girl on the cover. The inverse image tricks the eye - stand the cd upright, step away or hokld the case away from you and move your head from side to side while keeping your eyes on the image. It appears the girl's eyes are following you as her head moves from side to side. Move your head up and down and it looks like the girl's head is nodding up and down with her eyes on you. Subtle, trippy, and super cool.
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle

I like the Brute drawings that make the album covers of all the KMFDM releases. Another favorite would be Crystal Method's "Tweekend". Don't know why, but I love that design.

Favorite chems art would be the "Surrender" cover.

I like the cover to Block Rockin' beats (CD1), I love the irony with the grenade and the feather placed next to each other. The cover to Leftism is cool, with the big jawbones placed over the turntable, it looks like an eye from a distance. I also like the landscape-type photos on Royksopp's CD covers, they fit the music really well.

I always thought "Exit Planet Dust" had the best artwork of any Chems release. The image, though simple, is extremely cool. I have had a poster of it up on my wall since 1995.

I guess that the majority of art on the chems albums are 'drug' oriented and related. In a way, they are works of art and the newer albums are much more related to the hillucinogenic side of the music. The older albums mean something. But, this is my opinion, and all the art on the covers are fantastic to look at.

I also love the artwork by Tomato, The colourful shapes on the fronts of all the 'Beaucoup FIsh' singles - and who doesn't love consistantcy when it comes to buying singles, it just makes you want to own the whole set!!! I bought all the singles from 'Beaucoup Fish' [even though i didn't like Bruce Lee that much] JUST for the artwork! [And the tracks came as a bonus ;) ]

My fave Chems album cover would beeee... the private psychedelic reel. Doesn't that sound rediculous? Hear me out on this one though: A black cover and in white: "the chemical brothers" and "the Private Psychedelic reel" in the famous 'dustmites' font. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmagic. Not to mention the single CD itself had the girl from DYOH on it only with a red tinge! groovy!

Hey - theres nothing wrong with that cover. The only thing that could have made it any cooler would be the writing in mood paint so when you touch it it goes a different colour.

oh oh oh - also, what made you think i was human?
