I'll go with that.

The chorus lyrics appear to include the line "what you hear is not a test" ....or a game...or an Ed Simons record(?)
Nice verses, shame about the cheeeesy chorus. Those high pitch synths. Yikes!

I like it. Much less cheesy than the r'n'b crap of "This is not a game". I see great potential for that track to be the new Galvanize.

Could also be his collaboration with Disclosure but it sounds much more Chemical Brothers than Disclosure

The more interesting thing is this video from last night at Warehouse Project:

Not bad at all. Immediately accessible bassline/energy. :)

Please, no comparisons to Galvanize. It does not sound alike even if it is Qtip.

Yeah that little 'cascade' sound just before the chorus on 0.59 secs sounds 100% chemical to me. I suppose the other option is that it could be a Chemical remix of Disclosure.

I'm sure some of the forum members will be keeping a close eye on youtube for more...

Ah, fuck, I hate twitter for its shitty design and "language" of friggin symbols and hash tags. Makes it hard to figure out things. I can't seem to find the quote from Ed on neither of these links.

I think the lyrics of the chorus are

Quote

No time to rest
Just do your best
What you hear is not a test
We're coming here to make you... Go !

It's also time to keep an eye ear on Erol's sets. If he plays that track, then it will confirm it's very likely some new chems material !

This chorus is just awful. I hope this song won't make it to the album. Definitely not impressed by what i heard. I really hope i won't regret the time when i used to be impressed by any of the chemical brothers song. Let's wait and see.

That's too bad because I still like you very much. You're breaking my heart here :)

I listened to the track again, quite like the verse, but this chorus is way too cheasy for me. I can easily picture that song being played in a huge springbreak party haha.

Hello, people! I can't wait for the new album. One way or the other the chems are always innovative and cerebral.
By the way, I was surfing the net and listening to Ariel. Rings the bell?... I found this track. Is it theirs? Discogs links the track to them. Thanks.
Greetings, broz & siz!

Cool. I found that release on Discogs a while ago and dismissed it thinking "I Love It" was just a mislabeled version of Rollercoaster (Knees Up Mother Brown Mix). Your link was screwed up for me so I listened to it on Beatport, and it's actually a completely different house tune that makes use of the same syncopated "I love it" sample from Rollercoaster. It's a little cheesy, but sounds really similar to their later work like Heaven or Let It Slide.

Unless "I Love It" is the "Original Version" of Rollercoaster on this release I haven't heard (and it probably isn't considering how similar the Flying Mix is to Knees Up), it looks like "I Love It" is an unreleased house demo from Ariel themselves that never made it onto vinyl or silver back in the 90's. Which is a great dig I should have known of!

There's always a card in the sleeve! I thought the flying mix was the remix by dean thatcher, a dub version of rollercoaster. Anyway, I love it is an Ariel track! Nice memories from the onset of the 90s!

And I love the sample in rollercoaster... "Ah, ese puente es bastante peligroso; hay que andar con cuidado, si llueve con más razón".
"Oh, that bridge is quite dangerous; you have to be careful, all the more reason if it rains."
