all the sudden I'm looking forward to seeing the lineup for Sasquatch.....

Yah...If I still go I'm not showing up till saturday now. Fridays lineup had little for me. Saturday is the only big day for me

Dwight, Cinematic Orchestra, portishead....

It seems like the sunday lineup has dare I say.....a lack of artists compared to the other days

Tom, Ed, Errol....is there anything we should know that would help us spend our money wisely?

And How the hell are they going to do a New Jersey Coachella.....is there even a Coachella Valley in Jersey?

I take back a bit of what I said. I actually like a lot of the lineup. However for me to travel from Chicago is very costly. And considering that many of the acts (mostly the small ones) I would be planning to see on this years lineup are coming through Chicago before they hit Coachella, leaves me with no logical reason to fly out to California. Unfortunately, I'll be missing Kraftwerk, Portishead, Waters and other big names... which does leave me with regret... I just wish I had more money so these decisions weren't so hard.

Hopefully, something changes. But for now, sadly, I'm a no go. :(

and here is details about the east coast coachella, which is called "All Points West" http://www.apwfestival.com/

Bands/acts I want to see here:

SMD, Justice, Fatboy, Sasha+Digweed, Erol Alkan, Junkie XL and Spiritualized.

Unfortunately, the only one that really excites me is Fatboy. I could piss on the headliners, Roger Waters included.

The only thing that would make me go at this point is if the Chems showed up.

Oh, okay, if Underworld and Soulwax were both slated, I'd go. But considering the cost, starting at nearly $300 just for one ticket, $600 for two, because of my girlfriend, this is looking to be a one-thousand-dollar venture. I'd much rather drop that on a plane flight to London. ;-)

Oh, Bosco, and yes, I did mean the Double Door in Chicago. That has quite the few good acts coming through it, right?

Excellent to see that Kraftwerk are out and about again this year!

Did Coachella in 2005. Not bad as a festival, per se, but found it rather 'limiting' - only being able to drink in certain areas, etc. It was damned hot too!

hmm. so has anyone correlated Jack Johnson to the turd-burglar on the loose, or is he more likly the enema bandit. Jack Johnson has spawned a breed of guitar playing douchebags like these:

I know with Coachella you're getting a quality fest and it makes me really happy to see them turning a profit - that means the show can go on and more quality acts can come in future years.

But god damn. Do you think it's expensive enough?

Dear God, yes, too expensive. I would understand if it was packed full of amazing headliners and huge acts, but right now it's like paying for a bath in an elegant spa only to find that you're standing in a kiddie pool being splashed with warm water.

::sigh::

even if it were free, there's not a single band on there I would induce me to drive to Coachella... at least none that I haven't already seen. Spiritualized? Seen it. Fatboy? Seen it.

And what the fuck is a Jack Johnson?

Looks a pretty good lineup to me, there's at least 3 acts I'd want to see if I was going.

Definately agree with Viking that its great to see Kraftwerk playing live. Would be awesome if they were playing in the UK this year, I'm still pissed off about missing out last time!

How about a chems show at Lollapalooza or the new Coachella festival "All Points West" in New Jersey ::cough::: which I already reserved a hotel room for :::cough:::

ok, enough, sorry...

For all you going to Coachella, Aphex Twin and Goldfrapp have just been added to the lineup...

Yeah, the Aphex Twin addition is quite impressive.

As for me going...

The free ticket didnt pan out....but im at about 75% sure that I'm still going this year. I already have a camping pass, and Im waiting out on a discounted 3 day pass on ebay. Looks like I'll be flying into SNA to meet up with a friend who I'll be renting a car with. It's a little expensive, but I find it too hard to miss Coachella this year, especially after having such a great time last year. It's basically a Birthday present to myself anyways....

Bosco!!! When would you be flying into good ol' John Wayne airport? That's a hop skip and jump away from where I live. I'm not going to Coachella, but it would be so cool to see you again! If need be you are welcome to hang at our place before you head out to the festival, or afterward.

Would you be flying out of SNA, too?

Yup, flying out as well.

I was looking to arrive to SNA on the 25th and then leave out of SNA the 28th. But nothing is set in stone, just trying to stay in sync with my friends schedule. Maybe we could do a get together on Monday the 28th, and I could take a later flight home or something. Im also capable of flying in a day earlier (24th) or flying out a day later (29th) but I don't know what Stash and your schedule is like.

Either way, I would love to take you guys out for Dinner!
