There's a bunch of musical moments, the ones that immediately spring to mind:
U2 - Los Angeles Sports Arena, March 1985: I was 14 at the time, my first ever concert and I have my brother's friend to thank since she bowed out at the last minute. I'd never experienced anything quite like it, so young and impressionable I was, seeing how music has the power to change the moment. I even wrote a review of it in my diary I kept at the time. X-D
Pink Floyd - supporting Division Bell, Pasadena Rose Bowl 1994: This was an incredible concert, such a tight set, a keen spectacle of sight and sound that's been burned into my memory every since. Luck was on my side that day. I got a ticket at the last minute and caravanned up there with a bunch of friends from work. A friend of mine was having a bad trip on shrooms about halfway through the set and I almost got crushed by the crowd when I went to get his some water. How cliche to get crushed at a Pink Floyd show but it's all in the experience!
The first time I ever heard the Chems. I mean, *really* gave them my full attention. That was in 1999. It was like I was being pulled out of a dark cold place and into the warm light...
Chems live sets - there's nothing quite like the first time. Then the 2nd time happened and that show left me weak in the knees. Then... there's the 3rd live set which was last year at Coachella. Hands down the best concert I've ever been to. Everything was incredible - the music, the visuals, the company, the crowd. I won't say no more - I already wrote a massive review!
And a nod to all those musical moments that blur across the memory lines - like those times when the music becomes the soundtrack to a long drive, or those late nights and early mornings, or those times in a club and there's a cool song that the dj puts on, or even the more simple things that happen when you notice something in a song that you never noticed before. All worth a mention.

My best music moments would be as follows
5. Playing in my band in front of 2000+ people
4. Hearing the prodigy for the first time ever
3. Hearing the chems for the first time ever
2. Hearing the track Come With us for the first time ever
1. Getting my drum set
I would have put a live chems show but sadly I have never seen them live. :'( Ya it's true, they are never around Toronto and i can't save up enough money to get out of the country. What kind of a fan am I?
