I don't know if this warrents its own thread. Has anyone seen any Nocturnal Wonderland bootlegs floating upstream? I would LOVE to have a recording of this epic night.

No, unfortunately nothing has surfaced yet as far as the Nocturnal show goes. Just from past experience on this board, the bootlegs go up rather quickly after the show and this place is full of bloodhounds looking for live sets. So if there was a bootleg to be had, someone would have mentioned it already...

You may want to keep your eyes peeled and also check the Chemical Brothers Live Downloads and the Bootlegs 07 threads - both of which are stickied in the other forums. Also, the mixingbowl.org site and other torrent sites out there will have other live sets.

Cool... thanks. I'm listening to the Hammerstein set right now, and so far it's exactly the same. I know it can't be EXACTLY the same, but all the order and transitions have been pretty spot on.

hey bro

http://www.ump3.de/?page_id=155

i heard that show. they played the same set at nocturnal. But LA didn't get 'Das Spiegel'

but the set at zenith didnt play 'leave home' and 'block rockin beats'. i guess the chems change the playlist a tiny bit according to what city they play!

Yah, I've listened to the Ballroom set about a billion times now, and I can only hear minute differences between that set and Nocturnal's set except for Das Spiegel. The only reason they didn't play that song at Nocturnal, I'm guessing, is because their time slot was shorter.

I was just hoping for a Nocturnal set recording just to see if there were in fact more differences than I can remember. Plus, I might have been able to hear myself screaming like a little schoolgirl.

Thanks tranceduran for the link :)

hey! waz up matthaven

funny thing about the show, bacause i was listening to the munich show until my ears were bleeding for about a couple of days before the show. So when nocturnal got underway, of course i knew the playlist, but was blown away when they played the prevoiusly mentioned 'leave home and block rockin beats'. . i went bananas! my highlight of the show for me was the alltime classsic ,(you cant have a chem show without it)'chemical beats'.i've seen the youtube videos where its dark and the clown comes out and says 'your all my children now', then a boom . .. .boom. . . boom . . . boom boom boom boom, then the vizs go up on the screen and hell breaks lose!

i was totally banging my head like it was my last day on earth! when i got home, it got real sore, plus my voice was out for 2 days. i guess that's the price you pay for being a chem fan. curious! where were you standing!

hahaha, my voice was gone for a week!! It was fine right after the show, but the next day my voice was so hoarse and it took so much effort to speak. I was afraid I'd done some permanent damage.

hey trance... I was about 5 - 10 rows from the front. I got pushed farther back as the show went on because lame ass people kept pushing past and I didn't feel like fighting to get back up a few places. I was to the right of center stage by about 10 - 15 feet, almost lined up with the outside edge of the chems setup. I thought I had a pretty darn good spot. I would have loved to have been on the very front row, but I was trying to find someone that flew all the way from my stomping grounds "Kansas City" just before the chems set. So I wasn't able to get as far up to the front as I had hoped.

Me n' the gang were just a tad left of center, roughly 30 feet from the stage. It was so crowded! There were so many people that tried to snake their way in front of us and a lot of people did, but it got to the point where it was so packed there was no way another soul could cram in. There were times when it was hard for me to stand my ground and breathe (I'm just a little over 5 ft tall) but I had my husband there to make sure I didn't get trampled. At one point there was a couple in front of us and the girl attempted to get on his sholders - that kind of pissed me off. MadPooter and I said, "Nooo, please don't! We're close enough! Don't do that, we won't be able to see around you!" but they were really cool about it. There was one bad moment though where some guy, some gang banger looking dude barged his way in front of us and started pushing MadPooter's friend in an effort to get closer to the front. This guy got really aggressive and Pooter's friend said something, and the gang banger started pushing. A whole bunch of us said, "No man... No. No. Not here, not now." He finally backed off and disappeared into the swarm. It was a crazy crowd. When we left afterward everything was a blur, but when I see pictures of the crowd it's hard to believe there were some 20,000 people behind me during that show.

I remember throwing a water bottle at some chick on some guys shoulders.

But yeah, it was nearly impossible to stay together as a group. people kept cutting in between me and whirly, pushing me back about 3 people back from "the group". I eventually made my way back forward and told anyone that was trying to cut by "Your gonna have to find another way around. We are all together ."

Same thing was for the San Fran show, I didnt see my cousin for the whole show. :P

hahaha, hahaa... someone falling out of the sky? Jesus Christ man, and just how fucking high were you!

The beach ball was good times. Biff gave it a good one-two punch.

I remember the Bosco water bottle incident... ah... it's all coming back...

haha, well I just remember seeing Biff fall and hearing a huge thud. So I just assumed that it was someone crowd surffing and falling straight on Biff.

 hahaha.. Biff was so happy at that point, he could've been buried in a pile of people and he'd still have that wind tunnel expression on his face.

Oh, and some guy collapse at one point sort of behind stash, just a little to his left. stash whispered in my ear "I think there's a club casualty happening right behind me." He was OK though since his friends were with him. It doesn't surprise me though. With everyone dancing in such close quarters plus the blinding visuals, it was like an inferno in there.
