It might be good for chems to play a show like that so people who listen to Limp know there's better things to live for. [/Hater]

We also saw other artists at the festival, on the same day :
Warpaint : nice ! I like it, psychedelic girl rock, that's all I need.
Tame Impala : meh, a lot of strange sounds wih the guitar but in the end the songs are pretty basic, not very interesting apart maybe from the last song. And their cover of Angel can't rivalize with the original (which I saw live) at all !
Queens Of The Stone Age : disappointed, they usually kick ass but here they looked a bit bored. I was sexpecting moar from them. And Josh saying "it's a beautiful place, I don't know where the fuck we are but it's beautiful"...I mean, seriously ?
Linkin Park : LOL
And on the other days :
Aloe Blacc : didn't know him, pretty cool soul/jazz.
Kaiser Chiefs : boring, the singer was crazy but the music is kinda poor.
Arcade Fire : a big meh, not paricularly bad, not particularly good, just meh. Their music has nothing special.
Moby : OMG KICKZ SOME FUCKIN ASS !!!1!11!11!! that guy is a genius, seriously. If you ever have the occasion to see him, don't hesitate, go ! A great live show, really.
Charles Bradley : same as Aloe Blacc, never heard of him before but cool soulman, as well as a lovely guy !
I Blame Coco : bullshit, the songs are like always the same, seriously not interesting at all. Don't waste your time with this.
Elbow : Didn't see all the show cause we were eating while they were playing but from what I heard it sounded good.
PJ Harvey : I liked it ! She didn't talk very much to the crowd and didn't move at all but it was captivating.
Portishead : Mindblowing ! I couldn't believe it, these guys know what they're doing, and they are talented as well ! I also laughed at the crowd wondering what was happening when they played Machine Gun Fascinating, I think I need to see them again.
Underworld : a bit disappointed, not only because they didn't play Moaner, but more because they didn't really feel inside it, you know, like they didn't want to be here. Karl had his mad moments (as always) but for some reason he stayed behind the desk during King Of Snake ! Fortunately the tracks from Barking sound good live (especially Between Strs), even though the album in itself was not very exciting. The gig was not bad, it just could have been better.
By the way, FAO BOYWITHTHEGOLDENEYES : YES, FESTIVAL SETS DEFINITELY COUNT !!!

Elbow was a highlight for me, i LOVED LOVED LOVED their show. One of the best show i've ever been to, and i didn't know a single song. Something about the atmosphere and the beautiful music.
Portishead on the other hand. Yes; i give them credit for being different, and out of the box, but...they were SUCH a moodkill for me. We've been dancing all day and suddenly the atmosphere was funeral-like. I like to listen to portishead at home, but not for a festival.

Yes, Main Square festival and Rock Werchter generally have a similar line-up.
So you finally went to the whole festival ? I thought you went back home after the first night.
About Portishead, I LOVED them ! They sure can rivalize with Massive Attack live. They came just at the right moment, and PJ Harvey was playing before them so it was not really a big mood change, even though Elbow was playing before PJ, but it's not like they are an angry band either.

I'm a big Elbow fan, and it's fantastic to see them finally get the recognition after years of trying, and without changing their approach. They've got dates in Germany later in the year, but no doubt they'll add a few more around Europe. Well worth going to see!
