Every time I've been to a chems show I always forget my camera....DAMN!!!

oh well...i'm bringing it along when I go to fuji rock this year, and yes I know that haven't confirmed to play yet but with a new album and that being one of their regularly played festivals I have a shot don't I.

This old man,
he play beats,
He don't need no music sheets,
but with a snip-snip-snippy-snip
gave his mop a chop,
Old man hairstyles are a flop.

Yep...3rd time. expensive festival but so serene!!! plus the dvd doesn't do it justice for what a chems show is like there. I saw them play there in 04 and either then tim burgess' drunken version of life is sweet (which i still thought was sweet) it was amazing. There was one part where I was right up front in the pit, looked back at the rest of the crowd and could see the laser lights going up the mountains in the distance with 75,000 people going nuts behind me.....BLISS!!!

And It' sweet cause I've got 4 of my mates going with me to japan. I've already gave them the ultimatum though that we have to see chems if they play fuji rock. Hoping for a Sunday Night Closing set!!!!!

I remember quite a while ago you mentioned you've been to Fuji Rock, but I didn't know you've been twice already!! It was already quite mindblowing on the DVD as it is, it's hard for my little mind to imagine the experience being more impressive but I'll take your word for it! ;) What an amazing feeling it must have been looking back and seeing the crowd exploding. It gives me chills just thinking about it! For your sake I hope the Chems do Fuji Rock when you jet over there for your 3rd time!
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle

Went in 04 and saw chems (and white stripes, jamie cullum (I have another great story about that set), Armand Van Helden, santos, Asian kung fu generation, etc.) with my cousin and had a mind blowing time.

Went again in 05 by myself, was suppose to go with 2 friends who then decided to go other places (but in the end said they hated them and wished they would have gone with me). Had another amazing time. I didn't post much about that time here since chems didn't play.

both times it was so serene. especially in 05 when walking back to the tent after evil nines' friday/saturday morning set with juice alleem and seeing the rising sun and low clouds just over the mountains.

I'm getting pumped for it since the dates have been confirmed, I have alot people who wanna go this year and there is a possibility of alot of bands I wanna see playing there again (chems (obvious), LCD soundsystem, Air, Underworld, goldfrapp).

Ooooh Ryno that is amazing! I love Japan SO much , i have been there many times and i love it SOOOO Much! The japs are so frigging cute! I can not even imagine what going to Fuji Festival must be like. When i look at the live part of the DVD it blows me away !! Its the best part of the DVD! Esp that Hoops part where you see all those japs go beserk and Tom is going crazy behing all his machines and stuff - for them it mustve been an amazing feeling to stand there looking at all those cute beautifull happy japanese people. Oh sometimes i wish i was Tom or Ed!

Well compared to coachella (the only other festival I've been to) it's definetly......more together. At fuji since it really is a mix of japanese culture and western culture in every respect everything seemed to move so fluidly and it was so easy to connect with others even if they don't speak the same language. Plus...Yes some are really cute there! :D

if ed ever does read this....any way of getting backstage passes this year if you do play this year.......no....well I tried.....heck I'd settle for a secret DJ set at one of the smaller stages. lol.
