Mercury Rev - Holes (live)



From the Australian 'Delta Sun Bottleneck Stomp' EP. Seriously, everyone should hit up eBay for this gem of an EP. Features the edited version of 'Delta Sun', the Chems remix (their best, perhaps), the live track 'Holes' and live covers of John Lennon's 'Isolation' and Neil Young's 'Vampire Blues'. I've bleated on about this disc before. It's fantastic.



I think I need to pick up some more Mercury Rev.

Not that this is an example of technical excellence, but I really like the "Right Here, Right Now" acapella over Born Slippy. Works good it does.

So infectious. A great album in the funky post-punk vein. Matt Safer is a terrific bassist.
