Nice work bEN J, cool cube work, really like it, obv no chems show, but nice to see new artists taking a simialr path!

His music is good though, i like him.

Lol @ "new artists"

Etienne de Crecy has been around for quite some time. His "Super Discount" was like the fourth CD I bought right after Motorbass's "Pansoul" and Daft Punk's first two albums.

Sadly I did not find out about the Chems until a year later, when on a whim I bought DYOH and "Legion of Boom" together.

Much better in my opinion, especially the Chems.

In fact, there's just an image projected on the front of the cubes. With perspectives, it gives the illusion that the whole cubes are lightened. It's simple, yet very impressive.

Those cubes are awesome.

However it feels a little disturbing how little his music resembles Super Discount and sounds much more like Justice and Digitalism and the like :\

BTW, there is (at least on iTunes) a recording of a live set by him that just came out, I guess from this tour?

It's called Live on Neptune

Dude, Crecy discovered Air. If he didn't put them on his Super Discount compilation we probably would've never heard of 'em.

And it's really disturbing how little his Super Discounts resemble his album Tempovision!

Ha! Those vids are awesome. And I, too, haven't heard of Etienne de Crecy, but it looks like a cool show.

Live visuals for Believe, anyone?

I thought Tempovision sounded much more like Super Discount than his live show does, which from the iTunes release sounds like mostly acid with samples of Super Discount.

I did like his take on "We Are Your Friends" though.

It autoplays at the top of the page.

Anybody know where I can get a HD version of it? Or what the song is?

That MySpace page is TIIIIIIGHT.

Love the video, and I'd love to catch his live show, but damn--no U.S. dates. :-(

The song is unreleased, it's the oppening of his live show. So are a lot of trackshe play. It's often remixes of his old stuff.

Also iggy : not "their", "his" ;) Etienne de Crecy is only one man

Also, the video shows visual elements from the whole live.

For gear geeks now : his live setup is :

Novation BassStation

Novation A-Station

Alesis Akira

TB 303 (*2)

MPC1000

Looks great. Hopefully he'll show up in the future somewhere near to catch a gig..

Pooter, can't you write a petition to Obama? I think in times of pre-/elections he will lend you an ear, for sure! You are heavily electronically discriminated.
