We were too busy jizzing in our pants.
More seriously, you can more or less hear the whole thing on Youtube. Some members have very good videos with excellent audio (it's better than nothing)

I wish there was one. I would have recorded the Denver show the other night but I don't have the equipment for it. Got some crappy video footage on my Sony Cybershot but the microphone was pretty bad.

Still nothing, not that I know of. There used to be this fella called Bold Captain that used to record Chems shows (U.S.). He did a brilliant one of Coachella 2005.

I just checked mixingbowl.org and I'm not seeing anything from 2010 yet...

I think I remember hearing that BoldCaptain hails from the east coast, so a NY recording might not be out of the question.

IIRC, BoldCaptain did both of the 2007 NY shows... we only have to wait a few days to find out!

I'm working on some basic mixing of the audio from Grannocks videos. I'll let you guys know when I'm done.

I've finished editing and mixing the audio from Grannock's Youtube videos. Here is the setlist:

Galvanize
Another World
Dissolve
Horse Power
Swoon
Star Guitar
Hey Boy, Hey Girl
Under the Influence
Out of Control
Saturate
Believe
Escape Velocity
K+D+B
Technical Difficulties
Leave Home
Block Rockin Beats

Mixed
The YouTube audio mostly lined up end to end, but in several cases it did not, so I took it upon myself to do some basic non-linear mixing and made the clips transition smoothly from one song to another. It turned out quite well.

Levels and Normalizing
The audio levels of the original Youtube videos varied here and there. It's almost like whatever Grannock used to record was attempting to (poorly) normalize the audio on the fly. So I did several levels of normalization and ran everything through an equalizer. The equalizing really picked up the sound quality. The levels of certain songs still aren't that great, but its not horrible. Overall the tracks might sound a little bit quiet compared to your normal ripped audio tracks. I just didn't want to boost the volume so high that it hurt the quality.

Format
I encoded everything at 320kps mp3's. The original Youtube audio was only at 128 though, so it might be a waste of time and space to encode anything higher, but I did it anyways. The original source audio quality was already poor enough that it didn't seem to warrant encoding flac files. But if anyone REALLY wants em I can encode em for you.

The files are already up on the FTP. Go get em!

Sorry to disappoint folks, but due to other obligations I was not able to attend the Electric Zoo...
1st NY Chems show I missed since 1997!!
Glad someone else was able to fill in, and with video no less, so a big thank you for that Grannock!
And Jakobud for doing the post!!

Right on, Grannock and Jakobud - you 2 are truly n00bs that rock!! Really your efforts are appreciated more than words can say...

Hopefully you can catch the Chems next time, BoldCaptain. It must've been so tough to miss the Chems after going strong for over a decade!

It was my pleasure. The chems have always made for some of the best concert recordings of all time. Shows like this are the reason I've decided to pick up the torch and start filming. I'm glad everyone is enjoying it. I just re-watched most of the set last night for the first time and I think I'll write up a little review of my experience. There would have been no way I could have even found words to properly describe my mood right on the heels of that epic event.

I still wish there was a recording of the roundhouse, it would have been really cool to have Further performed live in full.

Anyone remember that concert video someone (Explud?) put together of the first 2011 shows, Rockhal and Le Zenith? You could do that with the roundhouse shows, easily. I don't have the time myself, but...
