I dont know who it is i just been seeing the name on a few music sites and so did a bit of a search. Quite like the sound reminds me somewhat of dj shadow and deadly avenger.

Evil Nine i think are a group that include adam freeland on his marine parade label. Personally i favor the Tim deluxe remix more of Severn Nation Army. But still freeland mix is great.

Yeah it gets played more, but i thought freeland did it first. Basement Jaxx did a good remix of it to with snippits of 50 cent in the club sampled in it. Ive seen them play it live and its really good.

No i don't sorry. Its not been released or anything, maybe a couple have been pressed, but im unsure on this, they play it live so maybe its used played by using an akai.

Ur best bet if you wanna here it is to download a recent Jaxx live set.

Jaxx also did a good remix called 'get fucked up' or something like that, which is basically a track sampleing slim shadys 'my name is', its also really good and has been pressed.

If u wanna find out more theres a few topics about these on jaxx forum.

www.basementjaxx.com

go to the 'rare stuff' section, its streamed audio but its ok.

its fucking awsome live!! when i saw the Jaxx they started it with a recording of the crowd singin the bassline of 7 nation army, then slammed in with the daft punk - revolution 909 beats.

if ur intrested, it also includes as AC said, snippets from 50 cent, also, excerpts from Switch - Get Ya Dub On and the Switch mix of Audio Bullys - Way Too Long. The bit at the end is actually a beefed up version of a Banana Krew track (BJ's alter ego) called Automatic.

Evil Nine is two guys from the UK. It doesn't include Adam Freeland, but they are signed to his label Marine Parade. I really like them, they've got a very unique breaks sound... it's dirty, dubby and dancy at the same time 8). Saw them play an awesome DJ set when they toured with Infusion a few months ago.

If you can, have a listen to Crooked (the instrumental version) or Hired Goons. Both are excellent tracks. That's all I've heard, cause I don't have the album yet. Marine Parade went under for a while and only recently got back on track - I haven't seen it in any music shops here in Aus yet...

Reading from the booklet of their "You Can Be Special Too" album, it seems Evil Nine consists of Pat Pardy and Tom Beaufoy. Not Adam Freeland, but they are on his Marine Parade label. (ok, afro88 beat me to it, but I'm not going to delete)

The album is awesome!!! So far I'm thinking it's even better than the chems' latest offering! "Devil Stuff" is an incredible track!

Adam Freeland, along with a bunch of other musicians, started a six piece collective called FREE*LAND, and they made an album a year and a half ago : "Now and Them". It is really, really good.

Isn't Adam Freeland something to do with Tsunami One?

Those breaks are hard and dirty!

Kevin Beber is also one half of Beber & Tamra on MOB Records. have to sat, im not really into to the originals of ther stuff but theres a brilliant stepcase (or sumin) remix of one of their tracks on the MOB Hits cd.

Tsunami one did a great record with BT a while back, The Hip Hop Phenomenom, top stuff!
