But the term hip hop is used everywhere now, and it pretty much (not every hip hop artist) falls under rap.

Maybe not modern pop-r&b, but lots of old style r&b is mind-blowing!
He put on a turn-down collar, a black bow, and wore his Sunday tail-coat. As such, he looked spruce, and what his clothes would not do, his instinct for making the most of his good looks would.

Shaggy is considered reggae. I don't much care for him personally but if he opens the door up for his fans to great reggae artists like Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Burning Spear and like artists then that's fine by me.
