I finally heard some Bola anType. Cant remember the name of the songs, but they sounded like complex rythms and bits overlapping each other in a ambient reverb. Pretty cool stuff, I look forward to picking up an album :D

First time listening to Autechre: Pen Expers and it's just a mess. No thanks for the recommendation.

Pen Expers is one of the best songs on Confield! I suggest you start out with some older stuff by them. Try Clipper, C/Pach, Second Bad Vilbel, Basscadet etc. Their newer stuff takes a while to get used to.

Best albums:

1-Confield

2-LP5 + Tri Repetae

3-Chiastic Slide

4-Draft 7.30

5-Amber

6-Incunabula

7-EP7

Good songs:

Pen Expers/Lenetic Catachris/Surripre/444/acroyear2/6IE.CR/Rdsio/Recury/Cichli/Montreal

Ok, i've put Draft 7.30 in my dload que, so we will see hey.

@ c-Row: that is from the new Zero7 album right?

Is the new album any good? I really loved ":simple things"

But the new album I haven't heard yet.

n.p.: U2

I've started listening again tonight.

After mentioning U2 in another thread.

(also Whirly mentioned them, keep collecting them girl!!!)

I started with some old stuff and I can't stop listening.

It's great. I've listened all their albums tonight in order of release date.

Now I'm listening to POP. (rockband meets tha dancefloor)

Next stop: All that you can leave behind.

After that I'm going to bed for 4 hours sleep.

Have to work tommorow morning at 7.

Tommorow I let you all know which one I like best.

That's over 20 years worth of music you've got to listen to! Hope you don't get too sleep deprived!

Sadly, I have ceased collecting U2 stuff, stopped about 11 years ago. I had been going strong since I was 12, collecting things large and small, and I think I just got burnt out, it was an exhausting career! I've got a few boxes labelled "U2 crap" that have everything from magazine snippets to 6 inch singles from way back when - one of which Bono did the artwork for the sleeve, for a single called "Another Day" which came out in 1979, before the record Boy. I got it in... 1984 I think. That's probably my most prized U2 thing I own, because it was rare when I got it, and I haven't seen another one since, and I didn't have to sell my bike to get it! The coolest U2 thing I own is this large, inflatable Trabant (car) that looks like the Trabants that hung over their stage during the Achtung Baby tour - lucky score, it's worth a mint now and it didn't cost me a cent to get it. I could go on and on, but I'll just stop.

Let me know which record is your favorite - mine's Achtung Baby!
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle

@ Gundhi

Yes, "Sumersault" is from the new album "When It Falls". I ordered the japanese edition because it comes with a bonus track which is quite electronic for Zero 7, but cool nevertheless. I only had one hour to listen to the album so far, but from what I have listened to, I would recommend it to you. Nice work.

@ C-row: I'll pick it up at my local record store this afternoon.

It will not be the Jap edition. But ok I can do without that 1 bonus track.

It probably will end up on a b-side of one of the singles as well.

@Whirly:

So you were a real fanatic U2 fan.

Me too, not as big as yourself but still.

It was the first band I got into and I still like them.

Although their last album wan't really my tatste.

It's hard to choose which album is the greatest.

I like the old stuff and the new stuff.

I think it all depends on which mood you have.

Achtung Baby is indeed one of their best albums.

If I need to choose my favorite it will be my second choice.

First choice for me is Zooropa.

Why???

Because I've special memories to that album.

And the Zooropa-tour was my first big concert I went to.

And it's still one of the best I've ever seen.

n.p. U2 - Lemon from the Zooropa album
