they could be mixing an EBW or just an EP, not a whole album ?

An album sounds too soon to me,even though its been almost 2 years since the last one, but an EP now would be perfect timing.

If it's an EP, I predict 5 tracks, including a live version of a track from WATN! Maybe in late summer perhaps.

Yes, an EP sounds more likely, unless T&E have been put under the spell of an unusual muse... That would rock. :)

Either the Chems are on a roll and are literally working 24/7 or maybe they were working on a song and not a whole record and something was lost in translation as it went from mouth to print. It seems awfully soon for them to be mixing a full album - then again, who knows?

I'm going to bow out of speculating...

Where's you read this interview, sirbadge?

i thought they went to miloco to mix batches of tracks 4 or 5 times durring the recording of we are the night. i really think they are mixing the first batch of tracks for their recent dj date. i'm sure in the next 12 months or so they will be making more return trips to miloco as chemical 7 progresses. we are a long way of to the next album me thinks

^^^ sounds most likely, but still, more excitement. the quote doesn't give much away, this is it:

"So we're just working in this place at Elephant and Castle. The Chems are in there at the moment mixing their album,"

from Australian Jmag (april)

Nicee, mixing some new tracks already. I still wouldn't mind a nice ep as mentioned above. (ie. my old post, evermin's post on this page) (even though its past that album era).

I rather think they're there for mixing drinks... and to ban the champaign spiller once again!

after hearing the new tracks from the coachella set, i expect a darker more fast forward album in about late 2009 or early 2010...it will be no summersoundtrack album, like PTB i think.

after the chems did a lot of collabs on WATN which weren't that hard, i guess there will be more simple technoid chemssound (without or less guests) on chemical7, i think. in the meantime i'll wait and see (and hear the older stuff)

or maybe this 3 coachella tracks show the wrong direction and they will drop a hiphop album...lol

I don't believe they'll drop the big collabs, it's to good for business. This is a shame for the die hard fans who want a more dirty DYOH sort of sound which many of us miss, but still embrace their newer works with great passion.

I'm always fascinated by the fact that a -lot- of us U.S. folks got into the Brothers through Surrender--I know all my friends did. Yet, folks elsewhere in the world embraced DYOH.

I jumped on at DYOH in the US and immediately became a huge fan of it and EPD. It took me a little while to truly embrace Surrender, but obviously now I am a fan of all the different styles. Still, I think we are very due for a darker, hardfloor album with less guest vocalists than has become the norm. I'm hoping for something more along the lines of EBW9 and the two new live tracks.

I did things really oddly for a U.S. fan, though probably in the best possible way for discovering the Chems, as follows:

My first was DYOH, then I did Surrender, went back to EPD, then their fourth. Somewhere in there I got 93-03 too, but thats irrelevant.

For me, it seems obvious I started with the best, but then I think of the first and fourth, and their so good too! So I guess I like the second and third the most just because it is what I started with, and they have the most classic tracks on them for me.

I remember thinking WATN was going to be full of songs like EBW9.

This is no doubt lazy of me, but what to type in the youtubes to hear the two speculated new tracks?
