Good find Whirls! alot of revealations in that interview!
I kind of knew that this was the Chems last record in their deal! I found it very odd that the astrelwerks label is nowhere to be found on their recent releases and that kind gave me some suspicion that something was going on at Chems HQ.
Another poll idea...Which label will the Chems sign with?

I can only dream of bumping into Tom and Ed walking along the street. Is there more stuff like this around?

Awesome find!
This is on the Singles DVD.
I love this stuff, it's such a trip back in time. But aww, they were just babies back then! All wide eyed and innocent. Who knew they'd go on to make several number 1 albums, play to the biggest Glastonbury crowd ever, play the Hollywood Bowl, draw the masses when playing countless massive festivals... etc etc.

Is that Exit Planet Dust-era footage? I've never seen any before! Those visuals are nice (if, perhaps, quite not up to the technical level of what they've got now!).
Does anybody know where I could find some more footage from that bygone era, if there is any?

I must have seen it before then, I have watched that DVD many times. Just goes to show how scattered my brain was when I watched it.

Yes sir, it's from the Planet Dust dayz! Shortly after Singles was released, I read somewhere that the Chems have hours and hours of this type of footage but it's not for us to see. If I recall correctly either Tom or Ed said they couldn't really see why it would be of much interest to anyone, except maybe to their grandkids or something.
Speaking of archive - I sure wish there was a way to compile all these interviews (both in print and on film) and archive them by date and put them up somewhere for easy access. These interviews - some of them are gems and really insightful, and they are good reads!
Hmmm... thinking out loud...

Also, something to go with your morning cuppa coffee or your afternoon tea - there's this from Chicago's Time Out:
