At one point before landfall, this hurricane is the second most intense hurricane in recorded history. It brought 21 foot waves in Cuba. 21 foot waves. That's insane.

The areas in Mexico affected so far is the Yucatan Peninsula, far away from robot.mx who is hopefully staying safe at home and not vacationing around anywhere. We're hearing about the resort places like Cozumel and Cancun where there's tourists trapped and hunkering down but the harsh reality is, around those resort towns are a lot of impoverished areas with little resources to plan for something like this. And nobody's sure of the extent of damage because the emergency crews have to just wait until the storm passes. And food and clean water are running out. I think the world will be glad when hurricane season is finally over.

be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle

gave his mop a chop,
Old man hairstyles are a flop.
