@ inchems & whirls

Man thats so weird how you guys mention that too. If I remember theres about 1 or 2 other people that have said the same including myself about how life's at an all time low around the time a chems show comes along. Almost as if its perfect timing to lift us up again when we need it most (Tom & Ed can hear out heartachePosted Image). To take a quote from one of my favourite B-sides again: "Music will save you" and "I want to go higher....HIA" (H.I.A) And when that live 'believe' version is performed...wholly shit does that give you butterflys in your stomach. That was an intense surprise during the WATN tour and always welcome again for future tours like they seem to be doing.
Come out from the cold and into the setting sun. It's where it all began for me (not in Afrika), like it was out of control. Then after that life was sweet. So dream on into the pioneer skies of the fourteenth century and rise from the sunshine underground.

hehehe Tom and Ed can hear our heartache! ;)

At great risk of being overly cheesy, I have to say what they put out is the greatest reward and privilege to experience as a fan (for me, for what it's worth). It honestly makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside to see so many people getting the same things from the experience, too. The Chems just happen to be our favorites but overall I do believe music is the great equalizer.

Preach on my brotha!

The show for me is just another form of escapism for me....but on a grand scale! You kind of put the world in your backpocket till the shows over.

I'm just thinking. With such a large venue/show, does anybody think there is the slight possibility that we may get some professional video recording out of this? I know, pipe dream...

I was able to get ride of all my tickets. I used both ebay and stubhub to sell them. The only ticket I was able to sell at face was my garden seat for Hollywood Bowl (actually it was below face due to selling fees to stubhub). Both my original seat for Hollywood Bowl and my Oakland ticket were sold at a reduced price. The only reason I think I was able to move my original Hollywood Bowl seat is that it was in a center section.

AAaasaaaaaah!!!!!!

We're all really excited here in the whirly camp. Today was so hard at work, watching the minutes drop bit by bit like tiny granules of sand, knowing the weekend is at hand!

So is there going to be an after-party anywhere?

staying up to check in for my flight...

so excited to get there...

Still trying to figure out what I'm going to do after the show...

anyone know of any late night spots?

As I said before, I'm new to the neighborhood.

by the way, the upset in life happened to me too...

after i booked my flights and bought the ticket...the next day almost....was given a pay cut so much that I would not have purchased the ticket or the flights had I known that before I purchased...

My life is crashing around me but I'm definitely not going to give up seeing the Chems...

every other time I had an opportunity to see them, something huge came up and I didn't go, or I couldn't get anyone to go with me...

at the time I could afford it, but no one to go with me...

I didn't care, I went ahead with it...

and I'm sure its going to be the best decision I've made in my life.

I don't care if I'm going by myself, I hope to meet some new friends out there!

Anyone else from Vegas going to the show???

Hey Mr Orange, so glad you are going to make it out for this show!! You will not regret allowing yourself this little luxury you worked so hard for.

As for after parties, I'm not sure what's going on. I don't hit the the LA scene anymore and haven't done so in years, so I don't know what's what. If the Chems end at 10 then the night is still young! Hopefully one of your new dancing partners at the show will be kind enough to give you some pointers on where to go and what to do!!

As for forum meet-up before or after, we can't seem to get our shit together since most of us are coming from outside LA... at this point I think a meet-up will likely be played by ear through a series of texts, tweets, missed phone calls, messages and frantic waves from around the venue, lol

Nice, I'll be looking for tweets.

Now I'm starting to think I should get a hotel room...

My husband and son and I booked our hotel about a month ago on priceline. We found a place that was cheap, accommodating (except parking at the hotel is an additional $20) and it's so close to the venue we might be hoofing it to the show. It sure beats driving back to orange county after being slaughtered by the Chems!
