im hopin this is an indication of how their next album may sound. i personally would love it if they ditched this cheesy, push the button crap and went back to their dyoh/epd roots, and swiper i like very much.

There are plenty of threads like this allready where people have commented on this track, so open your eyes first before making a new thread.
Don't talk about the Chems PTB work in that way as its bull shit what you say about it, clearly your not listening to your downloaded copy of PTB very closely!

p.s i thought my words of wisdom deserved their own thread. im that important.
I wouldn't consider them words of wisdom. I wouldnt open a new thread for my words of wisdom.
Why come on here and act like a nob allways boasting about your downloaded music and then slate it aswell, surely this shows no respect for the artists.

junkie, I am willing to discuss the new album with you if you would like. I can let my urge to call you names go and can debate and or discuss the new songs. Let's do it.
Tell me....what aspects of the songs do you find cheesy? What is the cheese factor in Surface to Air or Close Your Eyes?
If you are going to dis the a track, tell us why. Be specific about it. Saying it is cheese doesn't really back up your point. See, I tend to think of cheese as music that was made to be extremely radio friendly. Most of Push The Button doesn't really fit into that area, especially when thinking about typical radio/mtv where I am from. I also concider cheese to be music that is made for the lowest common denominator. Push the Button is not that.

i think it just took me a bit longer to get it, because the more and more i listened to it the greater emotional impact it has on me - i def wouldnt consider it cheesy now, inb fact i just think its a great piece of music. like, really great.
as usual the chems know best! X-D

But that is simply my opinion which I leave open to any valid debate. ;-)

I wouldnt sat any of PTB is cheese, but the maybe tracks such as Galvanise and The Boxer maybe are more appealing to a pop based audience, despite still be very good records. I can never see a track like come inside, or surface to air being cheese.

yeh, hopefully im working at V up in stafford - im recording a band at the end of this week, and they're manager is well in with the Blink TV guys who do all the screens for the festivals. anyway, the singer from this band creation were at the 02 festival, and they got the singer to do a few tunes, just him and his guitar, between the acts - turns out the crowd liked him so much he stayed on for 40 mins! so when they record some tracks with me this week some of the blink people are coming to film it and they're gonna play the tunes/videos recorded between acts!! haha, you might see an earnest looking mippio crouched over a mixing desk on the screens at V hahaha.
anyway yeh, their manager works as a production runner for the blink guys and needs extra people to work as production runners - because im recording them for no $$ this week he's trying to get me in there, which would be a lot of fun.
so in short, i might be at V, but after doing glade/glastonbury i cant afford to pay for anymore festies this year.
and dude, no discount return neccessary :)

was a psychotic, wierdly obssessive chems fan and at one point they were all i would listen to. i loved them so much, i even got an account on this forum well before i got (downloaded) the album (if thats indicative of how much i loved them, anyway)
so the first day i listened to ptb, i was probably just so damn excited after a 2-3(?) year wait that i loved everything i was hearing. Then after my excitement died down, i realised that tracks like come inside, shake break bounce, marvo ging, surface to air were possible the most uninspired, uncreative chems track i had ever heard. the rest of the tracks on the album are too mediocre to even be considered up to par with anything on DYOH or surrender (asides from maybe, got glint, coz we all know that track is shitty) i don't care if a song is radio friendly, but i just end up cringing when i hear tracks like marvo ging or surface to air, something that not even my most disliked band can do.
hence, my love of the chems died on january 25, 2005.
(but i love swiper)
