Gillenium if you have some usefull point to make, do it instead of just saying useless words which we all know.

Please leave "fanboys" out of it.

I do recall one point where I thought "this should've been a way better climax" - the one after the extremely long buildup in Believe.

Thanks Biff. :) Glavanize sounds wicked, that and I'm so glad the Chems have decided to include Big Jump in their sets, it seems Ed quite enjoys himself when playing it (at least when I saw them at Coachella.) Love the new tweaking they did!

eindhoven was my first chemical brothers show, and after reading these comments, i'd have to agree with a lot of what was said. the crowd did seem to not be as into the set as they could have been, but i believe that that was to be expected, as it was more than just another tour date and was also a kickoff party for the strp festival. i figured that everyone involved in the production of the festival (from exhibitors to sponsors) were given tickets to the kickoff party, and not all of them would be fans of the chemical brothers. i got tickets because i now live in the area, and i watch their videos on youtube with my toddler, who really likes them (she now asks for "rock beats" when i go to youtube.com), and i like the fact that "star guitar" gets her to nap fairly quickly. being my first show, i'd have to say that my impressions of everything was that it was alright, though i guess i was expecting a bit more. there are a bunch of pretty visuals on the main screen, and then the occasional lasers come out over the crowd, but by leading off with "galvanize", in my opinion, you've just put the most exciting and climactic potential in the first three minutes, and they didn't really push any more boundaries after the beginning.

that being said, my reason for posting here is to see if i can find the group of guys that i ran into before the show (and ended up hanging out with during the show) so i can properly thank them. the group (about 5 or 6 i'd say) was in from out of town, so that would indicate to me that they were more fans than just there "'cause they were given tickets", so maybe one of them reads this forum. you see, me being of the married, stay-at-home dad, husband of an expat, don't speak dutch variety of person, i needed a break from all of the "being illiterate and devoid of contact with other adults" i get all day every day, so i decided a night out by myself would be a nice change of pace. needless to say, being relatively new to the netherlands, i might have overindulged before the concert, and after wandering around philips stadion in the general direction of the show, i hooked up with them, and they were extremely nice to me the whole night, despite my inability to get the connection between my brain and my mouth to work correctly, and i'd like to thank them again for providing me with water and keeping an eye on me, both of which i so very desperately needed. i know i probably come across as a kook, but if anyone knows the guys who was hanging around the mostly silent american who was slightly paranoid and having a thousand conversations all at once (though only inside my head), please let them know i'm looking for them to give them my thanks.

You're not Dr. Conger, are you? ;)

I agree with you that some of the most "explosive" tracks were in the beginning of the set. Though the ending, with Block Rocking Beats, was very powerful too!
