Right now I'm sitting watching Drag Me To Hell.

I'm a little sorry I didn't make an effort to go see this in the cinema when it was released.
As a fan of the Evil Dead movies I was excited to hear Sam Raimi was making this but (clearly) not excited enough to go to the theatre - I really don't know what kept me from going.

Anyway, I am enjoying it very much so far.

That handkerchief bit is awesome.....ah shit it's back!!!!

Mega Shark v Giant Octopus was an hour and a half of my life I'll never get back. But it was good for a laugh. My son lol'd!

There was even a scene where Debbie Gibson smelled her own finger with a contemplative look on her face. We had to rewind that scene to be sure it really happened.

If I'd known of this thread you speak of I would've held out and put Mega Shark in there. Along with 'Shark in Venice' with our good friend Stephen Baldwin....oh that has some good laughs too, just watch the trailer on YouTube...

Just watched The Book of Eli. From the trailer it looked like a Mad Max film with a black lead, I guess you could say..Mad Blax

I thought it was nicely directed, and I quite enjoyed it but it's not something I'd buy or watch again.

I thought that movie was pretty good, excluding the ending that sort of ruined the vibe of the movie. However, I REALLY like the soundtrack to this movie. Check it out if you haven't already--you shan't be disappointed!

@MADPOOTER - - Thank for the review on District9, I am desperate to see it, I want to buy it, it's lik £5-6 on Amazon, I might go for it, my Mrs says she's not interested in that sort of thing at all an d I love watching a film with company just always better, but like you describe, it's more than an alien film.
My life is a boat, being blown by you. With nothing ahead, just the deepest blue... To me you're like a setting sun. You rise then you're gone.

Watched "The Holy Mountain" by Alejandro Jodorowsky and "The Human Centipede", two very very strange movies.

The first one is from 1973 and must be made on a huge acid trip. I can't really describe what this movie is about. I think it's mainly about one guy who is introduced to seven other people and then they all went to 'the holy mountain' to gain the secret of immortality.

The other one is a 2010 dutch film about a german doctor who kidnaps two woman and one japanese man and then joins them surgically mouth to anus into a human centipede.

I just saw Battle Royale for the first time a few weeks back. shit was out of control.
from the word go its just non stop crazy, brutally violent but in showing some characters back stories
its really emotional and very sad.

I really enjoyed it, if anyone likes violent movies, or better yet japanese violent movies.
Battle Royale.

This has to be the most awkward film plot I've ever read !
Roses are red
Violets are blue
And I will rape

I'm only slightly surprised that the Human Centipede was made by a Dutch man (for any Dutch people on the forum, please don't take offense, but it is sort of a stereotype that the only people weirder are from Japan!)

More like the most "WTF" film plot! I feel a little funny in the tummy after reading the Wikipedia description!

My best friend invited me to a work event viewing of Sex and the City 2. It was free and you got a free bag of goodies so I went. All I can say about that film was damn Samantha is just completely wrong!
its a little early but thanks anyway

I've had the Human Centipede for a couple of months now but haven't watched it. I tried to get my friends to watch it on Saturday but when the plot was revealed they told me to fuck off. I'm too frightened to watch it by myself.

That's right Maboul. I'm not a sicko. Well, not completely, but day by day the Internet makes me a little darker inside.

Has anyone seen Valhalla Rising (2010)? It's not your conventional type of film, more of an art piece but I loved it. It's low budget, and has some great camera work but there's a lot of metaphores and symbolism which I didn't fully understand. It's something i'll buy on DVD.
