if you guys didnt lesten today they topped the ablum chart.

It had a brief interview with them on the phone from oz, they said they were very happy. Tom was asked if they would be out celebrating but he said they had allready been out and had finnished the evening (because it was 3am) but then corrected himself so it didnt sound like they had finnished making music.

Exactly, it promotes dance music and encorages people to get into it.

Also I makes Tom and Ed feel good and Im sure it helps there confidence in terms of going out and making more music.

I don't want to promote dance music to the wankers out there, I want it all to myself.

To be honest, the only time I listen to charts is when a single I've bought is in it.

Great to see Chems at number 1 in the album chart though...

Friend: "So what music do you like then?"

Me: "I like the chemical brothers"

Friend: "Who the fuck are they?"

Me: "You don't know?? I think you'll find they're number 1 in the album chart!!"

Sorry for that, but you get the idea...

I don't care about charts, if I like something and they say it's #1000 in the rank, I don't care.

All I need is to listen to a song, then I start gathering information.

That's why I liked so much those MTV programs that were focused on electronica, so there I could listen new music. ;)

HAHA, Yes!! That's what I was thinking, too! When people ask me who they are... I talk enough about them now that when people I know hear of the Chemical Brothers they think of me. One person gave me a Chinese newspaper that had a couple of English pages... and one of the pages was filled with an interview with Ed! :D

there were threads before where people said, the whole thing with "pushing dance music up" was crap because the chems are the chems and not in a genre and now it's all the contrary?! :?

What the heck?

congratulation to the boys once again!!! of course we all knew where it was going in to the chart at this time round!! Skylined i don't give a fuck about the charts, i haven't got a clue what happening in them. what i do care about is the validity of what tom and ed do. and if they are still selling records buy the bucket full or selling out tours then i'm happy. it all helps for a longer future of the band!!

I dont genrally follow the charts, most of the stuff now days is pop crap that is made to sell. With the Chems not being like this im sure they see it as a good thing and it promotes them to carry on. It also increases there chances of headlineing the Bigger Festivals.
