Ah, Life Is Sweet. Beautiful ambiguity.

Still waiting for life to be sweet on my end. The possibility for the new apartment has now swung back in the direction of my favor, and I'm waiting for them to clear a co-signer. I'll know in the next day or two. Hopefully day. This has been a source of stress that I don't need, and don't completely know how to deal with.

My intuition tells me everything will work out okay, and there are some great music shows coming up in the near future. The Twelves @ Mezzanine a week from tomorrow, Soulwax @ Hardfest a week after that, and then, of course, The Chems in Oakland and possibly Hollywood at the end of next month.

Yeesh--another gray day here in SF, though. Gotta love this city in the summertime--it gets less sun than in the wintertime. Seriously.

More biking. 23 miles yesterday, hopefully 25 today, but we'll have to see. Don't know what else to do right now, so I just... fucking... bike... And listen to Further. ;-) Still absolutely LOVING THE SHIT out of Escape Velocity. God damn that track gets me so high.

Oh yeah, if anyone is interested, this is the hill I biked up yesterday: L I N K If you turn around in the street view, you'll get a better sense of how f*cking steep that is. It's actually less steep than some other hills I've biked up previously on the north side of town.

Glad the ball is rolling for you again Poot! Its the same here with the weather, but I embrace the gloom.
No shows for me until the Chems come to town, though the 'Rock the Bells' show has a legendary line-up, but most of my friends are not fans of the old school hip hop. :(

That hill is insanely steep! I like the view when you look down from the hill on the Google street view.
...come to think of it, That view reminds me of a similar picture I saw years ago!

Here it is Pooter. This is what your bike hill (looking down) on 17th street used to look like....in 1906

Just kidding Poot!
This pic actually took place on Sacramento Street during the earthquake in SF! Just look at the carnage!

You rode 23 miles including that hill? Fuck me ...

Been doing rides like this for months. :) Really helps keep the endorphins up, or else I'd probably be in some gloomy states. That hill was actually at the end of my last ride. I felt accomplished.

I was going to say--17th Street never had a cable car line on it!! That's crazy, though.

Good news, everyone! I got the apartment! YEYAH! It also ended up being pretty sunny today. Loves it.

Just gotta keep up this momentum.

New Tron trailer for anyone who is interested. http://www.inthemix....hemix_Exclusive

Looks pretty good I guess, you'd think they'd preview a bit of Daft Punk with it too.
Further Remixed There's nothing else...

I need to get back into some exercise myself. I work all day at my computer, you soon run down doing that.

Good to hear you got your apartment, you'll need to throw a big house warming, let the neighbors know you've moved in .

I'm so relieved for you that you got your new pad, Pooter! With gigs to look forward to, school in the fall and now a fresh new place to live, things seem to be looking up!!
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle

The Tron preview does look very, very, very cool. And I was also under the impression they'd throw some Daft Punk in there.

Guess we'll likely have to wait for the movie to hear anything else... Although, of course, things tend to leak, so that's probably not entirely accurate.

Yeah, you only get a glimpse of it but it does look pretty cool. Might have to go to the Imax for this movie.

On Tron Legacy....

I have been paying close attention to the Viral marketing they are doing. I think it is very interesting in some cases like this

http://encomgames.jp/circuitcycles/

The game is interesting and it has the tech based soundtrack. Could it be part of Daft Punk's soundtrack?
And the game is based around the original light cycle sequence.

Through that and other quests I have gotten the postcards they have sent out. Big corporate marketing pitch that I am a sucker for.

Can someone put the last two months on the forum in a nutshell for me?

I know Madpooter texted me when I was on my fishing trip (which I'm sorry I never texted you back). Something about being in Chicago but for a short while. I'm assuming it was a flight lay over.

It was a layover, indeed. For some reason Southwest has no direct flights from SFO/Oakland to D.C. Frowny face.

Further came out. We loved it.
Madpooter is a wild man.
Malbou changed his name.
We are all mad at Whirly for deleting a remix post (not really).
The World Cup octopus broke many hearts.
(I've been doing more reading than speaking...)
Gonna work it out...

Official website has tracks by Daft Punk up and streaming. Not bad, not bad--actually excited to see how this music will go with the film. Sounds great.

gracias Satur8. What is Maboul's (assuming that's who you meant) new handle?

edit: never mind, the avatar is a dead giveaway

Here are 6 samples from TRON's BO :

http://blogs.1077the...daft-punk-zomg/

It reminds me a lot of Inception's soundtrack. Quite disappointed :(
