i know, as i was saying in my last post the people who choose these certificates do so because of the content, many films effect people in different ways, it's never ott blood and gore that causes fear in these movies but when theres the fear of something you can't see. it's all pshycological but as i wa saying, the people who rate these films don't go by that. they go by the content, not the effect it has on a person.

(this debate could go on for quite some time)

Hey yoshii you say you like a bit of the old ultra violence in films and you've seen films like ichii and such but i gotta say that theres absolutly no comparison between the two. Where as ichii is over the top violence irreversible is just pure realism the scene that everyone goes on about is a guy getting his head caved in with the bottom of a fire extinguisher as he falls from the first hit to the floor his head ends up right next to the camera where you can clearly see his face up close as can possibly be crumpling into a mushy mess with each hit. it truly is horrendous. And yes the film is out to buy and rent in the uk but i would definetly advise you approach this film with caution (!)

That would be something from the Twin, no?
He put on a turn-down collar, a black bow, and wore his Sunday tail-coat. As such, he looked spruce, and what his clothes would not do, his instinct for making the most of his good looks would.

That is a bit taken from the COME TO DADDY video directed by Chris Cunningham. He is the best director (I think) out their. Im pretty sure he did the Windowlicker video aswell.

Chris cunningham has a dvd out showing off his best stuff.

Come to daddy has a great video, just a bit to creepy. I like that bit when the music slows down it goes into an old lady singing some shit (also used in another Aphex Twin track Isopropanol). Obviously the best bit the screaming beast thing.

Chris cuningham is a genius in my opinion. he does an autechre video i'v never really heard anything by them though so I can't remember the name, i think it might be second bad vibel (sorry if that's wrong) but i'm not sure. he also does a Bjork video (can't remember which) and windowlicker and come to daddy. He did the squarepusher video as well, i think it's "come on my selector". His style is quite recognisable and relates to aphex twin's music in a way that i couldn't really describe, for example come to daddy's video and song both sounded like something from the bowels of hell.

I just watched (tried to watch) Irreversible. Let me start off by saying this movie was disturbing. I watched most of it but, had to step out of the room for some scenes. 8O

yeah.. i rented it with a buddy.. we were very self-confident and thought it'd be cool to see some raw violence..

half-way through the film we were in complete shock! after the film there was this silence.. like we'd lost our ability to talk.. its truly a terrible film!

Wow, I'm too scared to watch it now. I remember when chemicalreaction told me to watch some faces of death videos. Me being the innocent nieve(sp?) boy I am, watched them, and it messed me up for a while. It's disgusting and wrong.
