Rockin! Especially that bonus Fatboy track, What they lookin for!
A friend got it picked up in London!
Also just got my hands on the EP, That Old Pair Of Jeans! I like it!
One reason : Right Here Right Now - Freemasons short vox mix!!
When my bro told me punjabi's the next official language of the world as a joke an yr back, I just didn't buy it, as my music is typical brit BIG beat, but this is the second time it's happened, and it's settling in.. when fatboy fuckin slim uses this sample regularly on his cult stuff, my bro's joke's lookin more than a joke. If I remember he used this sample back in Glasto 05 too, and again on this song! I never ever had a copy of the original Mundian - never been into Punjabi music, but this sample used by fatboy rocks!
People get this ep!
Also got myself the Try Harder remixes disc finally!! :) Just playing it, nothing much new to offer, but the few new ones I haven't heard before are NICE!
Fatboy sunday! :)

My question is if the official release date is 29th June, how's it already doin the rounds of the illegal world?
Yes, I'm a total newbie to the world of piracy.
Some new (at least to me) good stuff on the new hits album. Maybe they were singles earlier which I missed.

And it's summer and the weather is warm. There's something about Fatboy that screams 'summertime'.

You're absolutely gonna love it, the most beautiful album of the year. Along with PTB. If they were both last yr, i don't wanna figure.

Acidchildren and I got into a little discussion a while back about Palookaville and I was being a bit critical. It was him that said given all the personal crap Fatboy went through between Halfway Between The Gutter and Stars and Palookaville, it was a miracle that Palookaville was even made. That really helped me appreciate the effort and open my mind up to Palookaville.

I didn't see the 'beauty' of it at the first listen, and I doubt I ever will.
Fatboy's best album is 'Gutter & Stars', IMHO.
Was kinda disappointed with the Plump DJs remix of 'Everybody Needs a 303' too. It lacked direction and had no real build up. Shame. Their remix of 'Push Up' was so much better...

Palookaville shouldn't have been made in the first place. Definitely Cook's worst album ever!

I haven't heard the remix yet. I love fatboy's 3 first album the same, I couldn't pick one as the best. But Palookaville... godammit Norman Cook must have been abducted by aliens and replaced by a fake norman cook...

No, he was battling depression, trying to settle into his role as father and husband, and things went bad in his marriage for a time... suddenly his private life became public knowledge and the tabloids were up his arse with a stick, there was speculation his phones were even tapped. Fuck.
Given an alternative, I'm sure he wished he were abducted by aliens. :(

Also, I'm liking Why Try Harder, I think its justifyable even if you have all the albums, because there are 6 tracks that I didn't have: the 2 b-sides, 2 remixes, and 2 new singles. I think the 2 new ones are okay, though I do not see the big deal in TOPOJ, while Champion Sound is much more fun.

Palookaville is a fuckin gem. It took some time to grow on me, but I absolutely love the new direction Norman's gone into.
I never liked the third album, the 2nd being his BEST, but having already done all that big beat, with Palookaville, he's proved he's a genius songwriter. The album is a very song song album, after u get past the first few tunes which are kicking as well, but some of those songs, lyrics and the vocals are pure fuckin GEE O DEE. I just don't get how Chems fans, the ones who like their entire discography not the ones who think they went downhill after Dig Your Own Hole cannot absolutely love Palookaville.
I never got around to liking Halfway Between tho, my least fav album.
Whirly - knowing your tastes - give more spins to Palookaville, the lyrics are way too brilliant and too fuckin cool. The singing definitely is. KEEEWWWL. And the songs rock. The whole album. Guess I'm the only one on this forum.
I like the new songs on the disc also. Not as strong as the ones on Palookaville, but I like the general songwriting direction he's going for.
And the master panner as we all know, and some other things which scream Norman for God - his standards.
I love the remixes of Right Here Right Now on the single. Anyone got around to checking them, especially the one with the punjabi mcs sample.. THE BASS!!! :)

note to jacksrevenge
im pretty sure norman doesnt write the lyrics for any of his tracks, he leaves that up to the singer/ co producer (whatever)
