I'm starting to get really pissed off by digital downloads. 1 time it's iTunes, next time it's 7digital. I also missed out on the stereo version of the Rock Drill. Now this the only way to get a digital 'Snooprah' version. Fucking Hell!!!
Come on Tom & Ed, I'm guessing you have a say in this? Please help me out. I am willing to pay, heck I already have all the single cd's so I have most of the b-sides, I want to get the "extras" as well even if I don't have an iPod or Apple.
Sony is my mp3 player.
What are all those track available at the moment? I really want that Battle Scars remix, Snooprah, EWB9, the Rock Drill...

I know it's upsetting, we all want to pay for our hard copies (I'm an old skool tangible kinda person myself) but I don't think Tom and Ed have a whole lot of control here in this situation.
It's not like it used to be 3,5, 7 years ago. The music industry and the whole approach to buying and distributing music has changed and believe me I know, because that's about 70% of the reason why my last job went down the shitter...
With digital releases, this actually allows for a lot of freedom for the artist as well as the label. No extra expenses used for promoting and advertising, no extra expenses needed for packaging and distribution. No overhead costs really - it's quite a simple logic this whole digital distribution. I think this approach is perfect for a b-side release like this, and I can see why it was done this way.
As much as I would love to go out and buy this Vol. 1 dealie at a store - does it really make much sense from an industry perspective to fork out all the money it would have to in order to create, market and distribute a tangible item when digital distribution is just as effective and quite possibly more lucrative?
I'd rather the money be spent on Tom and Ed's tour and next album than take a crap shoot on making a big splashy tangible release of b-sides, most of which we already own hard copies of!
