Ok maybe it wasn't that original. The distorted 303 has been done million times. I just wanted to create my own acid tune (kindda like put my spin on it) .That vocal sample, i actually don't remember at all. It was long long time ago when i first started making music.

chemicalreaction Escribi:

My Acid Sweat

I like this track, chemicalreaction. Nice buildup to 2:22. That bit at 2:32-2:34 and again at 2:46-49 is really good, would've liked to hear more ;)

Sirens is good, love the sirens! Those blips that start at 3:47 are very chemicalish, nice work. Good panning and that sample at 4:27 thats panned to the left is very good. Awesome buildup to 5:12, that's excellent. That outro bit sounds like an oldschool Prodigy-type outro, nice.

Since I first heard EBW7 i've been working on a similarly themed track, should be completed by Friday after I record and EQ the final vocal sample today. Yes, a finished track by me. :-D

Hmm, this track would benefit from a breakbeat, the 4x4 kicks seem a bit out of place. Other than that, the track is cool, the melody is cool (you've got a knack for that!), and some of the sounds are superb.

Not a criticism, but if I was wrote the song, I'd have used a simple break for the beat, and would have knocked off 10bpm, it would have picked up a whole load of atmosphere and ambience, which is what I'm guessing you're aiming for...

Hey ChemicalReaction

i had a listen to your last posted track "NonDusted" right? and i have to say the thing sounds quite interesting. The way you introduced the song is very nice quality. And the used instruments matched together perfectly. But there's a little but concerning your 4 step beat. Breaking it up at some times could add more variety..

Nevertheless, a nice track

PS.: One question to you, which software do you use for you're music making? And where do you get your intruments, effects and/or other stuff? Could you give any advice?

Thanks

Thanks guys for the comments. it the little things that matter the most. I tried making this track into a breakbeat but i just wasn't 'feelin' it. It sounded very unorganized and frankly i suck in creating good beats. For me it's not THE most important thing in music. If you listen carefully i have used basically the same kick throughout all of my tracks. Its kindda pathetic and lame on my part but they just seem to do the trick.

track is 111 bpm intentionally coz of my own mixing purposes. Trying to make a dj mix album with some of my biggest tunes and other tracks which i like over the years.

@ Csar - i really can't tell you one source from which i get all my instruments and sounds from. I create all my own effects using a wave editor and fruityloops. all the kicks ,snares and drum sample stuff like that is from fruity loops believe it or not ( and some of the stuff that i have sampled from other tracks). I have really cut down on sampling and make all my sounds by myself using audacity and fruityloops.

A little advice. Use whatever you feel comfortable in. Fruity gives me so much to do that i don't feel the need to download or buy anyother software of hardware. Limit yourself and you will get ideas. Trust me.

Thor for some reason i can never understand IDM. Maybe i haven't developed the taste for it yet, but i must say at some point in the track I thought i was listening to Aphex Twin. Which is pretty sweet. I wish i could really make all those squeaky noises but my stuff is really in your face and loud. I like the arrangement of the beats and stuff but this kindds stuff you could only listen once or twice. But i guess you make your music for yourself and you are happy with how it turned out to be then its all gravey baby.

I like your style, maybe you should trying making completely different next time and see the result.you will be very suprised at the results.

OVERALL - 7/10

Thanks guy. I have experimented with different styles, and found this style (whatever it is) to work best. I am focusing alot on my ambient works aswell (minimal in some cases).

Thanks for the comment again, but, what track were you refering to chemical?

Hey I will comment on a lot of tracks real soon. On the list are songs from mippio, chemicalreaction and consumer ... and I'll get back to you Thor later. And I have a new song coming, possibly in a week or so. Contrary to you people, I haven't progressed a bit. :D
