The chems took a sample for the song from Paola Barca called Decimazione Amanti which was played on a mix on CBS radio Station in Italy, 1973.

I like the how the chems can take something like this and make it their own. But now i'm kinda disapointed that they didn't come up with that bassline. But cool stuff anyway!

Cool tidbit - I don't know how this thread slipped past me.

I'm not too bummed the Chems borrowed the bassline because like you said they can take something and make it their own. It's the Chems keepin' it real - just like they used to and just like they continue to do.

They also have a knack for creating their own basslines that sound so familiar you'd swear they borrowed them from somewhere. re: Come Inside.

haha, this song is just flat out repetitive without the magic of the Chemical Brothers.

definitely a toss up between this and saturate as my favorite track on the album. when i first heard this, it really sounded unusual for the chems for some hard to grasp reason, like the style of the song is brilliant but definitely something new, and nice n fast! very sweet bass line and some of the best sounds the chems have ever made are on this track, especially that trickling synth noise and that heavy sweeping - baaaaaaam! sounds a little more like "tomorrow never knows" than setting sun, you have the bird noises and eclectic noises

half of me is disappointed. The other half revels at their creativity and loop use. very nice find.
