I thought it was absolutely unbelievable, how amazin star guitar was.. I was preparing myself the whole day for it like.. Jeanie was on the same wavelength, we even broke into Star Guitar tunes a few times whilst we were all having a drink. Fun times.

well what a pleasant way to spend a sunday evening!
chems were cool, glad they turned it up! they turned out a wicked set, considering that the whole gig could have been one big tourist fest i thought the atmos was pretty cool! pleny of whooping and hollering and hands in the air action.
i thought the promised 3d schnizzle was a bit of a disappointment - there was some during calvin harris's set (who?) but with the chems it was business as ususal - id liek to have seen the clown and robots in 3d!!
the encore was when they had the visuals playing which were done especially for the gig - i thought they were a bit pap tbh, the chems usual visuals piss all over the special ones! they just looked like some lines which had been programme on a c64 - makes u truly appreciate what a great job the veggie boys/flat nose george do on the regular show (i dont think the visuals at the end were in 3d either - i put my glasses on and it didnt look very 3d to me)
the meet up in the pub was great, nice to see some old faces and some new ones too - respect to foxboy who we speant the afternoon with for heading over from belfast especially, and of course jeans with her 14 hour each way bus mission - haha nice!
lucy and her efestival clan were all wicked, great to see her again, meet tyler properly for the first time as well as surface_to_air and his lady. props to acidhcildren and chemicalfan for heading up from bestival for the evening, congrats chaps you did well! also bumping into their mate jim who i met at roundhouse who is sound as a pound. heres to future meet ups!
a big thanks to tom n ed for a wicked evening - i have to say looking back and seeing the lasers bouncing off nelsons column (ooo errr!) was well exhilarating, and kudos to ed for gettin out the front and getting the crowd going. cheers chaps, great evening!
it really was something to be stod in trafalgar square with 9000 ravers listening to that bonkers build up in believe! oh and fuckin hell - THE SATURATE SINGALONG!!! HAHAHAHA - we all did irishfan esque ebw8 karaoke when it dropped, got everyone around us la'ing the melody too hahaha - special :D
(still didnt meet up with sneaks though! bugger! next time my friend, next time)
oh yeh grahame, nice to meet u too mate! hope u had a good one and made it past the 1 hour wait for the bar - efficient. i love the way they put the bar next to the portaloos - u couldnt tell which que was which - u woudltn want to get them mixed up! piss pint anyone?

I thought the gig was great, always good to meet the forum peeps (although I wish we'd have made it for the pub but it was impossible). Good to be able to remember some of the set too, unlike Bestival! Star Guitar was amazing, the Temptation intro seemed to tease out every ounce of excitement I had! Burst Generator was special, although not quite as I'd hoped. I'd missed it completely at Bestival, so it was a new listen. Blame the sound system, I think. All Rights Reversed hit home nicely, those drums are BIG and the reversed/cut-up vocals were a great addition! The "Saturate singalong" was fun, the song is like an old show now, so the added edge of together-ness was wicked. After NYE, I'm a total convert of Hold Tight London (live cut), it's a proper acid house tune with really rushy vocals. Ended on Block Rockin' Beats which was different - they did it at Bestival but I wasn't sure if it was the end or not! The tune that came on after (both gigs) sounded a bit like Spring, so I was confused! I hung about after Trafalgar, just to make sure. Don't Fight Control is just something special live, it really is. It's a monster tune, a real classic now.
Special thanks to Lucy and her amazing specs - made being sober a lot more interesting!! Where did you get them?

Hello everyone! First time poster, long time fan. Excellent gig at Trafalgar Square on Sunday night, really loved it! Personally, it was better than Rockness for me. Was it me off my head or was it not Chemical Beats sandwiched in between HTL and BRB for the encore? Someone's got Leave Home listed - is that right?
Yours confusedly [:-D

yep definately leave home and no chemical beats.
seems like everyone on the forum but me met up on sunday. i had all the best intentions to get too london for the mid afternoon. but in my old age i'm getting a bit rubbish being orgainized. i had hoped to bump into a few of you. i came bearing gifts of some disc of my latest 'work in progress' project. i got up to london about 7.30. still not as bad a my mate who took the other ticket, he arrived at 8.45 and i had to pass the ticket through the fence so he could get in the square!
did anyone manage to get a beer before the chems hit the stage? i must have spent a good hour trying to get one, only to give up when i heard no path to follow in the distance.
i thought the chems performance was pretty solid. loved the new visual reworking of star guitar! also don't fight control (the pinnacle moment of the set) tom was going berserk on the FX!! i had a heart stopping moment when believe finished to see 'love is all' beaming at us. surely this cant be the end off the set. thankfully it wasn't, just the end of adam smith visual input. the rest of the visuals were done by UVA, which sound like some kinda sun protection. i cant say i was that impressed by their graphics. i mean single colour wire frame images would have looked dated 10 years ago, we are in the 21 century now. the encore was great, they couldn't really miss the opportunity to play hold tight london could they? and leave home was pretty rockin! shame they couldn't drop the reel or sunshine underground at the end but i guess we cant have it all!

Sneaks i am very sad to have missed you! I was excited to meet up with you. Ah well, no worries.
Thing is - i do remember everything but i was quite drunk so it's all a bit blurry  i cant really remember details. I only remember that when star guitar came, i almost came to
And leave home! That was mental!
And that build up in believe is THE BEST PART OF THE SET. Imo. WOWWWWWW!!!!!!!

Ah, those who didn't get beer were not ingenious enough! We managed to conscript some people in the VIP area to go to their bar and buy us drinks - and on top of that the guy we asked was so pissed that he brought us back 2 more beers than we'd asked for!
I loved it how everyone sang along to the siren in BRB but still for me Leave Home made the night.
