What was the most significant technological change that you made for Come with Us?

Rowlands: We moved to [Emagic] Logic Audio. We had always been [Steinberg] Cubase and [Propellerhead] ReCycle users. Cubase does not support TDM plug-ins, and if you had loads of audio tracks and loads of MIDI, it would crash. Logic never crashes. It always works.

I'm a fuckin doughnut

I am currently reading a book on how to make music on PCs and suddenly this all makes sense to me! - And they said libraries were boring! 8) The only thing for me is whether I want to start making music now, when I haven't tackled DJing and also where I'm going to get the money to either use software or 'physical' synths etc etc. :?

Just dive right in. You don't have to start out with loads of equipment, just start small. If all you have is a computer, try some demos and feel your way around. You'd be surprised at how intuitive a lot of these programs are. Creating music, or doing anything creative is a great release. And it's good for the soul.
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle

If you can, get your hands on Fruity Loops to start off with. Simple interface with some nifty devices (especially the granulizer)

And keep this in mind, if you make music for yourself to enjoy, then the reward is in itself :D
