Goddamit please let me know if someone on here is going to this!
I need to get to London again! A lot of cool stuff seems to be happening over there.

I caught UNKLE back in 2011. I had no complaints about the set as a fan. I don't know that I can have an objective perspective on the performance, though. Nonetheless, I remain a fan and I'd love to see them again.
Too bad to hear Lavelle might not be pushing forward with the old material as well as he could. And I'm a little disappointed there wasn't a larger Shadow/Lavelle collaboration for that performance.

Thanks for the report. How were the visuals and errr smells? (they were shooting out fragrances too?) A shame he couldn't get the original singers for their respected songs but its always going to be a difficult one to achieve which I think he pointed out in a recent BBC 6 interview last week. (probably still streaming in its last days maybe).
the last time I saw them was off the back of Where Did the Night Fall album (latest tour they did). Was a bit disappointed as the setlist was basically similar to the one before the last tour for War Stories with little of the female vocal songs that made that album so strong.
Maybe in general Id would of rather preferred Shadow just scratch and play with some vocal samples with the live instruments rather than have some stranger cover the song. In that BBC 6 interview there were hints of future collar with shadow still hopefully will happen again in the studio. Psyence Fiction is still one of legendary albums for me which came just after Dig your own hole. What a year.

Come out from the cold and into the setting sun. It's where it all began for me (not in Afrika), like it was out of control. Then after that life was sweet. So dream on into the pioneer skies of the fourteenth century and rise from the sunshine underground.

Visuals were fine, though in some cases they just used the music videos e.g 'Heaven' and 'Rabbit...' Good vids though.
Re the "scents", nobody could smell a thing. Mind you I remember when gigs were "scented" by Marlboro, B&H etc and you'd go home stinking.

I was there the night you saw Holden, but for Trentomoller in the main hall (support from Howie B). Started as a seated gig, then one guy stood up....and eventually everyone was dancing in the aisles. Craig Richards and Lavelle DJ'd for free afterwards if you were able to stick around on a Tuesday night. Nice to see Howie B have a dance among the punters.
