people who think that Daft Punk are in the same league, let alone as good as the chems will not be missed when the revolution comes.

That sums up this stupid discussion of the Chems vs the Punks, u can't even think of putting any other musicians on that pedestal.

Of course Pink Floyd yes. :D

Back to the real discussion, so who else thinks Discovery rocks?

I love Homework too, for it's HARD machine sounds, but I think as a songs album, Discovery's a way better emotional experience.

Listened to Discovery while strung-out and stil possibly messed up and driving home from the overnight roadtrip today. Converted friends, won influence, felt gay in a good way.

Love Discovery.

ok, since i got summoned in the original post, i should give u some sort of reply ;)

yeh, homework is repetitive, but its damn funky - a tune can do the same loop for 6 mins for all i care, as long as that loop is uber good.

the thing with discovery is, its just not as raw as homework, they seemd to have left chicago behind and hit a disco vibe. which is cool, i love disco. but i just dont think they did it that well.

and when u look at the material they sampled and how little they actually did with it, i dunno, it just leaves a sour taste in my mouth.

so they you go, im not a hater, i just dont like discovery thats all ;)

i can understand what u mean.

like someone earlier said, and i don't know how many people agree, but it's "quite a lot of times" what u heard first.

i got into the genre pretty late compared to lots of u guys, so i heard discover first, and hence it "means" daft punk to me.

did i make sense?

p.s. i do get all the hardcore parts and all, i've been mostly into hardcore music, but daft punk to me are this cheesy "SO FRENCH" BEAUTIFUL act. :)

Another Discovery fan here. Homework has some awesome moments on it but some tracks like High Fidelity bore the hell out of me. Yeah Discovery isn't original but for me its a lot of fun and always a good listen.

8O !!!!!

high fildelity is one of the best tunes on Homework!!!! :D
