That article is a little misleading. The title states a claim, but the article only states that Noel wishes to work with the Brothers again.
Although the songs have been said be be overrated in these parts - I think Noel did a great job guesting on Setting Sun and Let Forever Be. Both songs create different feelings, but Noel's voice blends so well with Setting Sun and it compliments Let Forever Be. I think it's wicked that Noel feels good about Setting Sun, as he well should (much to Liam's chagrin).
Anyway - nothing to do but wait til we really find out who's going to be appearing on Chemical 6.

Yeah, he came off kinda cocky in that interview... but it's Noel, so that's to be expected!
I read somewhere a few years ago that there was a riff between the Chems and Oasis (a short lived riff, I'm assuming since it was a while ago) because the Chems wouldn't remix Oasis' cover of Helter Skelter because the song had bad vibes. Then again it was probably just the media taking that ball and running with it.

Wasn't it because Liam once put them off stage when they were a supproting act on one of their tours and he thought they were sounding crap?

All righty, here's the Helter Skelter bit further down the page. To be clear it's not my intention to start any new rumors, this is from 1999.

I think ed n tom make their admiration for oasis' music in their brief interview about the collabs with Noel and the results of the same. On the same singles dvd.
And slipvin - yes Noel's cocky on that dvd interview, but he is definitely in awe of the chems, it's pretty evident from his ramblings bout trying to play the private psychedelic reel at one of his parties n everyone gettin mindfucked, his usual yadayada.
That's the best part of that dvd for me - the interviews - u see such giants talk bout the chems and u can genuinely (sometimes funnily, as in the case of Bernard Sumner), see most of em being in a sorta of musical awe of the chems, and recoginising the chems music as being majestic, most of em so humbly, n having no egos bout puttin that across. Heh. it's so almost well written out all those interviews, but when u see em talk it's clear they've had the pleasure of being humbled by the Chems' music firsthand.
N I love Norman's short clip the best!

Ed & Tom DJ-ed at an Oasis aftershow party very early on in their career following a gig at Sheffield. It was in the basement bar of the Poly ( rock n roll ! ) and was around the time of the first Song to the Siren one-sider.
Noel had been to the Heavenly Social and so was well into the Bros but Liam was fooked off at " all this dance shite " and got one of his mates to " play some stuff with guitars ".
We spent all night surreptiously taking down the pictures of City players that the bar staff had put up to suck up to the Gallaghers
Noel was a good laugh, Liam was a cock ... plus ca change !

Thanks for that, Naked Under Leather! It's always good to hear about the early days. Despite Noel being cocky I am glad he has an open mind and has embraced the Chems' music. He put a lot of hope in them from the early days, so in my mind that speaks volumes.
JacksRevenge I agree, the interviews on the DVD are great and it's cool to see these big movers and shakers putting in theri 2 cents.
There's a bit with Fatboy that isn't in the DVD where he goes on and on some more about how great it is working with the Chems. I saw it online when there was a streaming doo-dad promoting the release of the Singles. There's also a great streaming interview I saw with Wayne Coyne at the MTV Europe awards before they aired the Chems and the Lips playing The Golden Path. Wayne Coyne said the funniest things during that interview and said the nicest things about how Tom and Ed were wonderful to work with and so sweet. I dig Wayne, he's a lovable wack-oh! Anyway. Going back to what you mentioned about these other artists being in awe/humbled of the Chems music and whatnot. What's great with the exception of say, Boy George or whomever, it seems nobody has bad things to say about the Chemical Brothers. Or if they did, those comments were lost in the shuffle. I like that. I know we shouldn't give a crap about what other people think about the Chems and their music - but it's still nice to know people respect what they do and like them as people.
