I miss my old 520STe with the 2meg upgrade with hi-res monitor and Cubase on a hard drive. :'(

No idea of current market value, why not look on eBay?

Nooo don't sell it, old computers are cool. And you won't get that much out of it anyway... Does it have a SID music chip btw? Then it would be super cool. I just love the sound it makes :D

I don't know what is this "SID", but it has a MIDI In and a MIDI Out. I don't have the mouse so i can't do anything with it... And my place is too small, so i better have to sell it to someone for who it will be usefull

Those MIDI ports were the best things about the Atari ST. :)

The SID chip is a synthesizer for old commandore 64/128 ( it seems as your computer don't have it) computers. Very good music has been made with it. It's very rare nowadays and expensive because they don't produce any more of 'em.

There is a hardware synth called SID-station that uses old SID chips.

Here is more info about the SID chip

The original Atari STs had a Yamaha chip that was so shite it was used in the later ZX Spectrums. :?

The STE had a much improved audio chip with stereo 8-bit PCM sound (which sounds shit by today's standards but was a big advance on what went before). The trouble is that not enough STEs were sold for games developers to bother writing software to take advantage of the better sound, improved graphics, hardware blitter etc, so it was a bit of a lame duck.

I've heard you can transform your GameBoy in synthetiser with a special cartidge, and that it's what Teamtendo is using. Is that true ?
