I have just seen on the live page that Chem Bros are in Japan on 29th July but then have a blank until 9th August. There is a mega festival (splendour in the grass) on in Byron Bay on 4th and 5th August and they havent made the second announcement yet.

Last time I saw these guys was last new years in London and ive been deprived ever since. Does anyone know what they are doing after Japan?

i dont know. I don't really care since the US must have put some restraining order on the Chems

Well... there's good people here from Oz that have been patiently waiting for the Chems to come back and they hardly ever complain. I hope your wish comes true for Australia, Ronin. I hear the Chems like playing down under.

I thought there might be a good chance that they will be here because they normally leave big acts till the second announcement, and they are over this side of the world then.

If not, ill have to jet it to another country next time I get the chance!!

If they play australia wouldn't they probably wait till Big Day Out to play. They seem to play the same festivals repeatedly in the past (hey they know what works). Good luck though, your not alone in the hope that they play on a continent either then europe or japasia (I know not a continent, island but who cares about the small facts)

Usually i'd say that they would wait until a nationwide festival like Big Day Out, but Splendour has a huge list of international acts this year, the line up is lacking a big DJ act at the moment, and coming to Aus in August would fit in well with the release of We Are The Night.

Anyway heres to hoping they get out here...and everywhere else they have fans dying to see them live again. The recorded tracks just arent the same!

The first time I saw Chemical Brothers was halfway through their Perth set in the Boiler Room at the BDO 2005. (Seen them one more time since.)

It was...AMAZING. And this was back when I didn't take drugs.

Wow i'm thinking along those lines - travel and shows, travel and shows, travel and shows.

I don't think they would be in the second announcement line up at splendour. That would be unfair to all the fans who wanted to go and it's already sold out.

They WILL be here though. Even if it's for like a week.... and hopefully it wont be big day out. They're usually the last act on and I'm buggered after the whole day. FESTIVAL HALL, FESTIVAL HALL (remember the CWU tour)

Hey all, like most of you i have seen them at the BDO twice, always save some ENERGY for their show. Yeah they have to play back down here. I would travel to see them,so we just gotta hope they show us some love.
