we love derrick round these parts.

can't for the life of me think what this is though. it's probably greenskeepers or mike dixon or somebody like that. maybe something on peaches?

just a guess.

I do know the mix that comes from mind. it's derrick on the essential selection (not essential mix) live from miami WMC in 2002 can't for the life of me find a tracklist online though.

if you want it ID'd head over to www.undergroundhouse.net - they'll get it seconds I guarantee

mchebne, you are officially my new hero for the day! The track was:

Greenskeepers - Gan Slam

It feels so good to finally ID that track after 7 freakin years. They figured it out 2 years back. Your right on the WMC 2002 essential selection part. I recorded it from there years ago but never found out who did it since they never released a tracklisting. It's weird listening to there other stuff more recent since they are more electro rockish now.

THANK YOU mchebne!

Does anyone know what the track that this snippet below is from? I really recognise it and it's doing my head in. Tried searching but to no avail. Sounds like Underworld or something.

Sorry for the real bad quality. It was featured on the show Traffic Cops and I recorded it off the TV onto my phone.

Another one that is probably on the mind of a few of us.

Was this ever identified? The more I listen to it it sounds more like a swedish mafia track. I still like it, but I am questioning if it truly is a chems track anymore...

@dimus--There's about two seconds of noises on that clip which might be defined as music, but otherwise I don't know that anyone might be able to ID that.

I agree, it's a bit naff in the flesh, sounds better distorted ;) But just tagged it using Shazam

i'm not sure if i've asked this before but i've been hunting down this unknown song for years. When the Phantom Menace was released around the same time i remember hearing on radio 1 once this song that had been created using dialog and effect from the film (and maybe other star wars films). It was quite dark abd had darth maul saying "I will not fail you my lord"..... Has anybody got any idea what i'm on about here, hopefuly there's some proper star war geeks on here who can help?

The big song from Ep. 1 was called "Duel of the Fates". The regular soundtrack only has the symphonic/choir version from the movie, but the Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace (soundtrack)Ultimate Edition does include a dialogue version.

I'm at work and can't check YouTube, but take a look and see if that's what you're talking about.

no i'm afraid it's not. It's unofficial, so not on the soundtracks (which was done by one person). This song is an electronic/dance song which may have been done to promote the film. Thanks anyway.

Are you saying it does not encorporate the Duel Of The Fates track at all? I remember an unofficial release called 'Duel Of The Fates (Fateful Mix)' getting some hype back in the Napster days.

Discogs has a few different artists with remixes sampling this track and might be worth checking out, unless you're absolutely sure that's it's a different song.

My Star Wars geekdom is marginal; I know Han shot first and would wear a shirt stating as much, but I am not up on my production or soundtrack trivia.

Good luck, let me know what it is when you find it.

no still not that but thanks for trying. From what i remember it doesn't use original sound scores but more an ensamble o dialog from the film(s) over a dark electronic piece. Oh well!!!!
