There was an alternate (so far unreleased IIRC) version of Marissa Flashback during the last ten minutes of the film. I've only seen the film once so I would have to watch it again to compare..

I hope this doesn't mark the direction for the new album regarding ANY new track! How I hate those plastic-like stereotype pop-commerce-vocals. Yikes.

In slightly more words: I like what the Chems did with the song more than I dislike Miguel's vocals and lyrics. His is the only part lacking, and it's still good against the excellence of everything else.
In even more words, if instrumentally the rest of the Chem's body of work turns out as barnstormingly badass as this release, we're in for a treat, a proper Chemical take/twist/improvement on what's popular in the clubs nowadays. And if Miguel appears on any more Chemical tracks, there's no way we're all going to be able to enjoy them as much as we should be able to.

Mind you my mind is stuck in head cold mode alon with packing mode.
Heck, it's not even the best new track I've heard in the last 24 hours. That goes to a majority of the new Dorian Concept album.

same thought! Miguel (whoever the hell he is) is not needed to give this track a 'personality'! It already had one without his vocal. The track is ok, but the first 20 sec sold me. The rest justs glides by me in a sorts of ways.

the track also reminds me of a chemical bros B-side! (im trying to think of it...it's those bubbly sounds that remind of it)
It's not a bad OST track, but it sounds 'teenish' if there is such a word.
So after 7 listens.....TINAG final score: 6.5 out of 10!
Im done!

Yeah the next time I'm feeling constipated, I think I'll have a new cure. There's definitely a couple of 'brown notes' in this one.

Sammy the salmon was kinda crappy. And for me Swoon was the worst thing off of Further too. And of course The Girl Is Mine was the first/worst thing off Thriller. So sometimes the commercial single can be misleading.

I didn't see any of the uh Fappening. Just the newspaper reports. Was there good stuff? Did anyone manage to save what they saw onto their hard drive? If so, did you feel dirty, like you were handling stolen goods?

Yep clearly what they've been road testing in DJ sets sounds nothing like this. I don't think I'd like a whole album like This Is not A Game, and I'd be surprised if we get one.
I do however think it would be a good idea for the Chems to have a hit. I've never had a problem with even the most 'credible' artists having hits now and again. It gets your music out to a larger audience, some of whom may stick around and discover an album (or body of work) that they otherwise wouldn't. Doing a Hunger Games theme song will surely help to spread the word. There's probably a generation of 'kids' who don't know the Brothers.
If I remember correctly, Further was released in the UK with a competition to win an ipad. This in turn made Further ineligible for the UK album charts. I wonder if that was really a good idea. What did it achieve? Sell copies of the album to people who wanted...an ipad? If it was me I'd have wanted casual Chems fans to notice there was a Chems album in the charts and then to buy it for the music.
I imagine I'll hear this track blasted from the cars of people who have show-off loud stereos and show-off loud hubcaps etc. But better this than Flo Rida.
