My yahoo email is accessible, but gmail is not. Since I work in a customer based industry where a lot of private and confidential info is stored, the company I work for doesn't want to take any chances of having a virus attack the network - so I can understand the concern. I didn't even have access to yahoo mail until a year ago and I've been with the company for over 2 years now. I had to actually ask for permission to access "entertainment" sites like this one (of course promising to only log in during my breaks and not go posting on porn messageboards or whatever).

Well security measures are a concern, indeed, but damn--quite the whip cracking company, still.
