Don't you mean the other way round? The Chems will have cleared all of their samples, but not all cleared samples need be included in the list on the CD inserts.
This is what I mean, in the chem's songs, there are going to be samples used. Some of them will have been legally cleared and some will be used without getting cleared.

Ask a load of the hip-hop guys, wasn't it someone like Puff Daddy or Outkast that had to pay out a fortune coz he didn't clear a sample. It's just not worth taking the risk in using an uncleared sample

Why? The Chems have a huge record company covering them, I totally disagree they used uncleared samples. It's too risky to get sued for it.
I think that you'll find that your wrong here. Look at the past of what they have done. They used beatle vocal on EPD but then had to cut them out when they couldnt be used. If you still dont believe me, listen to the words out of their own mouth. http://home.comcast....mumstheword.wma

People don't clear samples all the time, if you read technical musical interviews (several in future music) artists talk about this all the time. The Verve (who did bitter sweet symphony) got sued big time by the rolling stones because the violin line was from one of the rolling stone's songs.
oh and FYI outkast is two people not one.

They also talk about Fatboy Slim's track, Michael Jackson, and the trouble that went on with that case.

If you look in the sleeves of the cd issues, they list all of the samples that they have legally cleared. Some will have been inlcuded with out being cleared. I know that there is one russian chemicalbrothers fan site that's pretty comprehensive and had a section where they listed all the samples used in their records and the albums that those samples came from. I found the record that the lyrics to hoops came from and was going to buy it.
Could you be nice guy and name that site please? Thanks ;-)

Nooooo! I thought this was an original, god damn.
it is not. it's written by jagger and richards, just the words are written by richard ashcroft. the verve never saw a bloody penny for that one as all rights are by the stones manager who made millions with that song. the verve had to decide - withdraw the whole thing AND lose the rights... or release it, get into peoples' mouth and don't receive any money for BSS... sick sad world, that is such an excellent one... :'(

Here's the samples I've picked out from each Chemical release. Be warned! I'm an anal-retentive trainspotter.
The first as we know, Song to the Siren, samples This Mortal Coil's "Song to the Siren" but also samples Mantronix "King of the Beats"
My Mercury Mouth samples Hashim's The Soul. I know this because me and my band mate made a bootleg with it and theme from the love boat.
Leave Home contains Blake Baxter's "Brothers Gonna Work It Out", Kraftwerk's "Ohm Sweet Ohm", and NWA's "Fuck the Police." It's the part where the bassline drops out for the first time and you hear what sounds like a girl talking shiti about something.
They've sampled Pete Rock and C.L. Smooth's "For Pete's Sake" on two occasions. One for Prodigy's Voodoo People Remix ("Rock the House!") and also for Method Man's Bring the Pain Remix
Paris's "The Devil Made Me Do It" is sampled for Dave Clarke No One's Driving Remix.
Setting Sun does contain a sample. The drums, as far as I can tell, are sampled from Yes's Owner of a Lonely Heart. I know they had a record that sampled it on their 95 Essential Mix, but I might as well go straight to the source.
Chemical Beats, their signature track, contains a sample from Jimmy McGriff's "The Worm".
Playground for a Wegdeless Firm contains a sample from Baby Huey's "Hard Times"
The opening sample from "Dig Your Own Hole" is Bob James "Take Me To Mardi Gras" on reversed, made famous by Run DMC with "Peter Piper" and LL Cool J "Rock the Bells" and just about every old skool rap group from the 80s. ;-)
From a fellow spotter, I've heard that parts of Block Rockin' Beats are sampled from The Crusader's "Well's Gone Dry" and 23 Skidoo's "Coup". I don't know about the Crusader's track, but "Coup" is more of an interpolation than a straight sample. And I think everyone knows that based off of the Live @ the BBC bootleg of there's from way back when.

Commodore's Assembly Line, heavily filtered through a good sampler, will give you your "Uhh" on Chemical Beats as well. Spent some time with the HALion to figure that one out.
(The Best Part of) Breaking Up (Is Folger's In your Cup) contain's a sample from Cheech & Chong's Earache My Eye. It's the record scratching in the beginning. Again, sampled by Gunshot for "Children of a Dying Breed" which they on EM'95.
Morning Lemon's famous ending comes from Tash's Ricochet (that's our old friend Ice Cube saying "Take That Motherfuckers!"
