How boring this place has become the last few months.

Most of the regulars are gone...No interesting discussions whatsoever...Days go by without any posts at all...Same old topics and questions being opened/asked...No properly functioning board and noone who gives a shit about what happens here or to update stuff...Fucking old subforums still on the front page like 'Track suggestions for Singles Bonus Disc' and 'Come with us'...Who gives a toss anymore about those threads. Half of the shit isn't even accessible anymore due to the lame ass code in this stupid forum.

Anyway, I've had enough. I'm gone. It was fun while it lasted, but I can't give a rat's ass anymore about this forum, and it's clear to me that I have outgrown The Chems. Later people, and despite our differences and run-ins with eachother I wish you all the best.

Not even if it's a EMI topic :)

Yeah, I hear you loud and clear. While I enjoy most of the topics here, the forum can always get beefed up with new ones. If someones got new ideas for topics, bring them on. And since the Chems are on a well deserved break, there's going to be a little slowdown on the posts. But while i'm waiting for the next album, I'll be hanging out here!

Best of luck to you Slipvin! Your always welcomed back to the 'Brotherhood'!

Sorry to have seen ya lose faith, Slipvin. Best wishes! I might be a newbie here, but everyone is phenomenal and I'll stick with 'em. ^^

I remember the track suggestions for the singles disc. I had suggested swastica eyes remix because I had heard it that day and though it was the closest thing to hey boy hey girl. plus those those old threads were good times, they're fun to look back on.

anyway, this place is always dry between chems albums...

So bittersweet.

I appreciated your odd pranks, man, even though you're a completely thoughtless asshole. You had me laughing more than three times. ;-)

Best wishes to you too, even though you are dramatizing the slowness of the boards these days.

I agree, the forum's slow, but then with the tour off, n no new material on the horizon to excite us, I expect it. The new release obviously doesn't give us anything new to discuss on a forum - it's mostly just another collector's item lying on my shelf now.

Slipvin, I'm sure u won't leave us, hope to see u again when the excitement picks up again.

Ah wait, did u also say outgrown the Chems? Now that's something very personal I can't comment on. I can't wait for a new album!

Hey Slipvin - yes, we've had our differences, we've had it out publically - but you've been a presence here for a long time and it does make me sad that you've given up on this place. More often than not I've agreed with you, you've literally made me laugh out loud on a few occasions and I'll never forget those times when you've chased off the trolls who infiltrated the forums when a new release came out. And of course, you're a big fan of Blade Runner, and you have great taste in tunes!

I understand where you are coming from. I really do. There are things around here that are, and have been for a long time now, in dire need of fixing and updating. It's frustrating as it tries our patience.

Personally, I think this place may have suffered a massive case of burn-out and now that we're inbetween seasons, we can see how transparent the forum problems and lack of posts are. In the interim we're all off doing other things to pass the time. Or we're all off doing other things because life got in the way and our priorities have shifted... It doesn't mean it's the end but it means it's time to take a break. Some things change but other things remain the same - it'll be hopping here once again, when the time comes.

In the meantime, take care of yourself.

Mia

I have no doubt in my mind that this forum is shite lately is because of the poor usablity of this forum, it's just doesn't flow like a forum should in the day of web2.0 It's a chore to post because of it, plus I can't argue with people if I don't have the ability to post images.

Oh and I think the other reason it's shit is because most of the people on here have met up with each other in real life so they are less opinionated in case they cause offence.

Haven't been on all week. I remember back in 2005, some senior member quit the board saying that he had enough with their music and the forum. Can't remember who that was though.

A lot of members do that Prochem, I think it's just to see how popular they are by how many "please don't go, you're the best" comments.

MCMarsh once threatend to leave, I think because he hated me, but we've since shared a McDonalds breakfast so everything is fine.

Slipvin came and went (one time was due to a personal event, which he posted here), but he never quite posted something like he did up above. He never said he outgrew the Chems, til now.

Lots of people come and go, and lots of people (myself included) have aired their frustrations and some have longer leaves of absence than others.

I think you may be thinking of anType, prochem. He never made an "I'm leaving" announcement but he did air his frustrations at having every single one of his posts deleted...
