I don't have a lot of vinyl at all. I just recently got a cheap little turntable that has a USB so I can record mp3's. When I was playing around with it, I put on some records and my son was like "Wow, so that's what you used to listen to" He's just of a different generation all together - one of instant gratification. Where we can be on the road and I can download a song to listen to right then and there, or a game for him to play on my phone - and by the time I've given it much thought the song or game is already downloaded. The whole process of playing a piece of wax is such a process and such a ritual and sometimes I wonder if there's room for such time consuming tasks in the busy lives of the newer generations. Or if things like this - collecting, playing vinyl - is something that younger people can grow into as they get older. Gawd I sound fucking old, hahahaha!!
