Thought you'd find this interesting, Biff. A bunch of electronic music artists were asked to shoot Soulwax some questions. Tom Chemical was one of them.

Tom Rowlands (the Chemical Brothers): If your studio was on fire, which keyboard would you save?

Stephen: We use the EMS Synthi AKS a lot, and it's not that big, so I could jump through the flames with it - after helping my brother, who'd be suffocating on the floor.

David: I wouldn't save anything. It's a fresh start, a sign.

Aha! They were asked some pretty good questions! I like the "who would survive longest on a desert island" one.

Sixpence None The Richer-type pop!

Justice could only wish they can make club tracks like Soulwax!

Yeah, the subtext to that Justice question was, "When are you going to stop making music that makes our music irrelevant?"

ah, pooter how you know my neardy side, thanks for the find! think they answered that well. If someone else's house was on fire and they had an EMS Synthi, I'd probably run in after it, even if my hair product is essentially cheap napalm.

I wonder what piece of kit Tom Rowlands would grab (god forbid) if the studio caught fire? Hmmm...

stash's recipe for jerk chicken is almost identical to Mr. Dub's - I don't eat chicken but substitute that instead with either shrimp or a nice piece of white fish. It's so tasty. You gotta try it.

Cooking jerk chicken is an adventure that may require goggles. The sauce is so potent, it stings your eyes when the smoke rises from the barbeque. The pain of course is best dealt with by having a six pack of Red Stripe on hand. ;)

^ Nope - haven't had chicken for almost as long as my son's been on the planet! With the exception of chicken liver but only (and I mean *only*) if I'm at a really good deli - but I'm weird like that. I used to be a veggie for a good long time but went back to eating fish nearly 4 years ago.

Ohhhhh--that makes sense. I thought you were eating, like, everything -but- chicken.

Good moves with the veggie eating. I don't eat a whole lot of meat myself, especially after reading In Defense of Food by Michael Pollan.
