haha!
Jenny there is a niche for everyone! It is kind of odd one would spend countless hours on a Canadian transport forum because that's not our thing - but if you've ever publically commuted or spent a sizable chunk of time on public transport - if you think about it public transport is a giant public network that has very little social interaction amongst the people that use it. I worked with a guy that took the bus every day for roughly 3 hours per day for years and years and years - and in all the time I knew him (15 years) he never once talked about anyone he knew or met on the bus. Though he did have interesting stories about random hobos that got on board from time to time (perfect fodder for an internet forum I suppose). Imagine spending that much time, day in and day out, and hardly ever interacting with your fellow commuters on a social, personable level. Even though you see the same people each and every day, you know what paper they read, you know what size coffee they drink, you know what habits they have just by seeing them every day, etc. But you never talk to them. I guess a message forum for public transport is that social outlet that allows people who aren't social to actually be social. Sort of like this place - I love the Chems but I don't go blabbing about it around the office, I keep to myself, work and go home. It's a strange thing, forums. But good too.
This is the only forum I'm active on, but I lurk on others mainly a political debate sub forum on another band's fansite (talk about heavily moderated. :P )
