It is an assignment I have done for a flash animation unit I am doing at uni. It was supposed to tell a story about "transformation: the process of change". Most people would do some sort of graphical transformation, eg, caterpillar/butterfly type thing, but I wanted to do something outside the box, so mine is on transformation/change in dance and music.
Before you watch it I must apologise, firstly to Tom and Ed, very sorry And to their fans, I know it is way wrong, timing is out, animation is pretty crap, and I am no musician so my music is bad too, I can at least hope for some laughs.

Hahahahaha!!!! I love it!
You better get an A on this assignment!

Clever as hell.
Say, can any of you techno-savvy wizards help me out with a track ID?
It's from the DJ set Groove Armada did for the Pete Tong tribute the same night as the Chems; they close their set with their track "Superstylin" but it sounds... different, somehow, from the studio version. It opens up with a long quiet section and a robotic voice repeatedly saying "Discotheque", and when it drops the synths sound more... pad-ish, or something, than in the original. Based on the name I thought it might have been the "G.A. Diskotek mix" but that sounds different too. Is this like their "live edit" or am I just nuts?
Here's the link to the mix if you haven't heard it (it's pretty killer otherwise, too!):

The mix was pretty decent, but I wish I could ID that the track you mentioned! Try looking for other Groove Armada DJ sets that they played earlier this year. Maybe they might have played that track again, plus you might find a setlist for it!

I always feel so humbled when watching (and reading) interviews with them. They are so earnest and down to earth and genuinely so 'into' what they want to achieve with their music.
I'd love to see all these live interviews with them compiled in one easy place - a thread - somewhere, like an archive to look back to.
Hmmm... I do have a couple days off this week...

Particularly diggin' Tom's explanation of why they're making music.

Kinda sounds like the Test live at the beginning or something from a 2002 live tour (probably an encore).
Maybe the reel?

It is from the '02 tour, one of his 2 song guesses is right, he only didn't guess how was it edited to sound the way it sounds.
Well judging by the fact that the audience sounds like a den full of rats I'm gonna guess you sped it up ridiculously and then looped the melodic bits?
