Just heard the the creators of that uber-annoying song/theme tune (OC) - California , Californiaaaaaaaaaa
Everytime I hear it I'm reminded of that head wrecking, violence inducing, makes me itchy programme the OC!! Not that I'm ranting about bthe OC here.
Back to the Point - Ok I actually was pleasantly suprised by the Secret Machines in the Point Depot in Dublin in March, although slightly irritated as the fun kicked in but all the same , respect due.
So August 2005 Dublin - The Bud Rising Festival.
One gig has Franz Ferdinand, Scissor Sisters & Maroon 5 (all well chosen)
The day after the Chems in the same venue has Basement Jaxx / Underworld / Mylo (Have my ticket for that)
So why the f*ck have the Chems got Sonic Youth and Phantom Planet all on the one line-up. They just don't go!! They should have thrown some dance acts on first!!
Anyone agree??
Forum

here, just let me know this..
See if i bought a ticket for the chemical brothers for that bud rising event thing does that mean i can see the other acts on the same day too... like it is an all day pass to the other bud rising events if i buy the ticket for the chemical brothers only.. that would be pretty sweet actaully.. but if not aw well i only want to 'PoP Da CherRiE'

you think franz fredinand, scissors sisters and maroon 5 were well chosen shudders at the thought of that line up. as for phantom planet and sonic youth. sonic youth are playing cause they are playing v festival the day after as is the chems and for phantom planet mcd probaly chose them and remeber the likely hood of hearing any of there sets is slim as most people arrive late to gigs so stop complaining

the electric picnic is a new festival, it started last year and was only one day now its back for 2 days, its like witness but more dance. there's less acts cause theres only 2 stages but this year it has campin too. the line up looks ok as well, well better than oxegen anyway.
