sneaker, I tried to call and abuse you but I barely got a word in when I left you a message.
The very thought of driving home after Coachella is a painful one. About a 2 hours drive home. Plus the 1 and a half to 2 hours just getting out of the parking lot (if you can remember where you parked your car, then you'd save yourself 45 minutes of searching on foot) And there were sooooo many fuckitted people on the road who really shouldn't have been driving. At all. Here's hoping someone cancels a night at the motel so we can scoot right in.
But who am I to complain. For the Chems it's worth the fatigue!! It's not a good weekend until you've come to the point where you need a week to recover!

Reminds me of a couple years back. Worked full day shift, went home, packed a few things, drove 8 hours with my friends to Minneapolis @ 105 mph, slept in my car (upside down with my head resting on the ashtray) because we couldn't get a hotel room, got up after only 3 hours of sleep, went sightseeing all over MSP for about 8 hours, went to see Tool (amazing live act!), drove 8 hours home @ 105 mph.... Arrived home at 6:30 AM almost exactly two days after waking up for work before the trip with 3 hours of sleep in between.
I hit the shoulder so many times while driving back, but everytime I pulled over to sleep I got a jolt of energy so I kept going. Figured I was likely to flip the car in the ditch anyways, so the faster I drove the closer I'd be to home when it happened. 8O With all the MSP city driving, I think I spent 22 out of ~30 hours behind the wheel (and my friends are useless navigators).
A great day and a half! Then the first day of uni was the following day.... :'(

Oh my god!! Now that's hardcore! I am tired just be reading what you wrote.
I swear, 10 years ago I could stay up for a weekend and survive on a couple hours of sleep. Go to work, go out clubbing, go home and power nap, then get up to be at work by 8am. I had no fear of falling asleep at the wheel, and never fell asleep at work.
Even a few short years ago, we'd go out clubbing, then at 2am hit up an afterhours club, then pick up our son at 8 am still wearing what we were wearing the night before. Then spend the day entertaining a toddler. God, those were tired days. I don't know how we did it, but we did. The adrenaline is an amazing thing. I must be getting old, because the thought of doing that now makes me sleepy. How times have changed!!

To get somewhat back to the original topic, do you know if there are any Coachella tickets left? I'd like to go, but money is somewhat sketchy at the moment and I haven't yet attempted to secure tickets.

They probably won't sell out til a couple weeks, maybe a week before the event (going by previous years.)
Just from poking my head around the Coachella messageboard, it seems like Sunday seems to be a more popular day - I bet that day sells out first. There's a good line-up for both days but for me, Saturday is where it's at! I can't think of anywhere else I'd rather be. Mentally and physically.
The hard part is waiting. I'm ready, bring on April 30th!
