oh my!
Worked last night and the wedding was so damn boring. No one was getting pissed or making fool of themselves so my work buddie Kanye and I decided to get smashed for them.
We would mix champagne with orange juice so no one would know what we were drinking 'cos otherwise I'd probably get the sack...but by 11 I'd had 5 "orange juices" and I could barely stand. No one said anything I don't know if they even noticed....well I hope not anyway 'cos I'm in trouble when I rock up tomorrow if they did :?

Went out last night to see Benny Benassi DJ (yeah, I know, I know....) and I was actually reasonably impressed. Played very electro-y, dirty, sweaty house, with a slight acidic flavour.
Highlights track-wise were 'Erotic Discourse' and 'Talk' (Jacques Lu Cont mix). I've never seen a Winnipeg crowd get worked up like that before and the club, which has Winnipeg's best soundsystem IMO, was packed to the rafters.
It was super nice to actually be clubbing at a place that isn't bump-and-grind hip-hop and r&b and just get mental on the dancefloor.
Hung out with friends after and watched Fight Club as well as the 'International Philosophy' Monty Python sketch, which is the culmination of thousands of years of human comedy. Got home a little after 6AM.....
Gotta love midweek clubbing. :D

Nothing really. I don't think he's held in very high esteem and his tracks do kinda appeal to the lowest common denominator, but he knows how to work a floor and his mixing was pretty good.
I was impressed.
Feeling a little bit crispy at the moment, but that's what happens when you get home after your dad's already left for work.... :)

the rave at berts warehouse was an interesting night. Met some cool people 8) and realized that they are hardcore ravers with backpacks and hundreds of glowsticks hanging from their neck. Can't remember the names of djs oh wait yes i do Dj Space Ghost and Dj Phantom were there. Played some funky acid house. Only downer i was sober which is not fun because it needs time for me to get loose and bust a move on the dancefloor but when i have been known to attract a lot of attention...esp from the ladies.:D I will def do it again this summer.

And a happy belated 4/20 to all you potheads out there!
As always, a couple hundred teenagers and other protesters assembled outside our provincial legislature building yesterday, bongs, pipes, and joints in hand to protest (re: get real fucking high for no real reason) anti-marijuana laws.
Wish I'd had my camera with me: always amusing to see cops standing by while hundreds of 14-18 year-olds smoke pot with no fear and no consequences right in front of them... It was hilarious walking through. I'd never seen so many of the unwashed masses together at one time...
The local bong/alternative culture stores were packed and had some DJs spinning and there were a number of after-parties going on at bars last night.

Sweeeeeeeeeeeet!
It's been a few years since I've been to a proper rave. The last one I went to I had a 15 year old who was rolling his ass off ask me how old I was. When I replied, he was very sweet and earnest in his reply or it could've been the ecstasy talking "Oh man, that's so awesome, I hope when I'm 28 years old I'm still going to raves!"
Needless to say, that kinda put me off! X-D

well, my neighbor/hookup has joined a 12 step program, but one of his roommates promised to take care of us, but it's still pretty grim.
:(
Poor kid, he's actually really sweet and I like him a lot but enough's enough. A few too many benders set him off the deep end. It's just as well though - too much too fast is never good for anyone.
