no, in all seriousness you want to catch a plane to gatwick airport. gatwick is on the m23 probably halfway between london and brighton. i'm sure there must be some some coach service between the 2 if not rail.

I'm pretty sure there is a train that runs direct (no changes) between Gatwick and Brighton.
