If you don't already have Bjork's Medulla, get it right fucking now.

It's amazing the first time, and just gets better and better!
He put on a turn-down collar, a black bow, and wore his Sunday tail-coat. As such, he looked spruce, and what his clothes would not do, his instinct for making the most of his good looks would.

It is actually pretty amazing (what I've heard of it) and it's a great concept for a record - almost everything on there is done with the human voice with the tiny exception of a synth thrown in quite sparsely here and there. The reverence and layers of the voices-as-instruments adds a lot of depth to what I've heard.

Maybe I can sneak this in one day and give it my full, undivided attention (without my husband, he cannot stand the sound of Bjork's voice!) Bjork goes both ways with me. I think she's a sonic visionary and she's always looking for ways to push the envelope, but her voice can sometimes be grating to my ears. I just have to take her in small doses.

There's also a DVD to go with Madulla in case anyone's interested.
