Man I am glad that you guys are excited about the main stage. I felt like I read that a lot of you veterans really liked the tent. It will be my first time (14 years coming too)! I am super pumped. Looks like I will be sitting through Kings so I can be up front and personal!

It's cool you're going to experience them for the first time at Coachella as they headline the main stage! What a fantastic first time and start to the weekend! I saw the Chems for the first time at Coachella (on the main stage, not headlining tho) - it changed things forever! I'm confident it will change your world too especially after waiting soooo many years!! :)

As for preferring one venue over another, I would have been thrilled if the Chems played anywhere in Coachella - I'm just glad to have them here! I think we all are. But having them on the main stage closing out Friday is mega. And as Bosco said last page 'set the entire mood for the weekend' is an honor.

Bosco - I'd like to try by the soundbooth as well so I may join you. One thing about main stage is it's a lot trickier and jammed to work your way up the front than it is in the Sahara.
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle

It looks like, although hard to read, that the chems play 11:40 -???? Which might be good since they won't be contrained on time if there's no one to follow. And they did an encore in 05, right? So I think there's some possibility of tppr and what have you.

Btw, coachella woo!

The encore would just complete my chemical journey. Let's see what happens.

I was being a little bitchy on my last post about have them playing one hour. I'm more settled down now than last night  so If it's one hour, that's fine because anyway you cut it, I wouldn't miss this show for the world.

T and E....Bring it!

FYI Whirls, guess where the Glowruptions gonna be at?.....the soundbooth!

Most of the forums members here do! I think it's the 'sweet spot' in my opinion! But I usually prefer to get closer to the stage, sometimes I'll get on the railing (Which is difficult this year because you got be there at least 1-3 hours before the Chems start to get a spot! The soundbooth is a good spot! Plus, we can introduce ourselves to other coachella board members who planned the 'glowruption' An easy 100+ friends to make in seconds!

This is my plan of action:

If glowruption happens where the alligator is, I'm gonna be aiming for the opposite side of the 'T' divider. Hopefully I'll be on the railing to maximize my viewing angle.

Personally, I would say you DO NOT want to be behind the sound booth at the 'Main Stage'. In the tents like 'Mojave' and 'Sahara' it works because you can look over the sound booth. Where as at the 'Main Stage' and 'Outdoor Theatre', the structure of sound booth goes above your eye level. Thus, your view is obstructed.

Does a magical alligator cause the glowruption? Is this another fad religion?
Btw, is this a B.Y.O.G.S. or can they be found? If not, pooter and I will have to make a pit stop....

Sounds good! What does everyone else think? And what time should we meet up here or somewhere else? It's gonna be a bitch to get in that spot, so I highly recommend getting there before KOL!

This show couldn't be anywhere but the Main Stage! I've seen it from 4 different vantage points, there is only one place to see this show, even if it means getting there hours before hand.

P.S. Have a great fucking time!
Further Remixed There's nothing else...

WIN!

Nice edit there Krisper, and thanx for the well wishes!

I would love to get on the rail, but that would mean getting there like 3-5 hours before the Chems start (Trust me, people stay there that long just to get that kind of a spot! EXAMPLE: McCartney and Prince shows)

But I prefer being with the fellowship of my forumites than anything else. The last show for me was 50% rail, 50% soundbooth.

I seriously can;t decide what to do... being with the crowd sounds great, being on the rail sounds great.... I'm very conflicted...

I really don't feel like being smooshed up on the rail... I really want to catch that glow and reaction. Sound booth for me it is!
