Spanning four blocks of Wilshire Boulevard and Hope Street , the location of the GIANT Village is one of its greatest assets? tree lined streets, luxury hotels and towering skyscrapers provide a surreal backdrop to a bumping soundtrack.
We've lined up a great production for you? transforming three acres of city streets into a unique 21+ ?music festival meets nightclub? featuring:
? 5 stages: 3 outdoor stages and 2 clear covered structures stacked with booming sound, lights, lasers and jumbo video installations.
? Two ?Mutayshun Stations? presented by The Mutaytor in the center of the Village featuring hoopers, dancers and fire performances.
? A Giant Tree Art Installation along an entire city block by Jerico Woggon with roaming visuals and sculpted screens by MC This and Kinetic Sculptures.
? An abundance of bars, identified by their Red Tented Tops, providing premium liquors, imported beers, wine, champagne and all mixers.
? A food court offering a variety of goodies including Salads, Hamburgers, Veggie Burgers, Hot Dogs, Chicken Sandwiches, Teriyaki Bowls and more.
? The Pegasus VIP Lounge featuring a private entrance directly into the Pegasus VIP Lounge, exclusive access to the entire Village, premium open bar and more.
? 2 ATMs next to the ?Giantology? Emporium where you can purchase GIANT Village Long or Short Sleeve EuroCut Soft Cotton T's (his or hers) for $20!
? 2 Luxury Hotels offering 2000 deluxe rooms located within one block of the Village. Rooms are available now in the ?Hotels? section of giantvillage.com.
? A GIANT Ferris Wheel, and
? An overload of heavy hitters all the way down the line-up?

The sad thing is, out of the 'musicians' on that list, I only recognize the names of 5 of them, and out of those 5, I can't stand 2 of them and have absolutely no opinion of the other 2.
The only act I could saythat I want to see is The Crystal Method.
But the drugs are going to be awesome.

We're going to stash the money we'd use for Global Village tix and put it into savings instead. We figured with the cost of a hotel, food, refreshments and the temptation to partake in various party favors, the night would cost us a little over $300.
There are bigger things on our horizon I'd like to sock money away for. :)

I actually looked at airfare earlier today. It's gone up about $100 since last year, unfortunately, but I am planning 4 months earlier than I did last year.
I'm hopeful. If Tom and Ed are there (and even more so if Whirly and 'stash are there) I likely will be too.
